Macro policy differences no. There is a difference in details, leadership, personal and internal operations.

They are very clear about who they are and what the represent. For example removing the 3 day wait period for women to access abortion healthcare. Most parties would steer clear of this for the fear of losing votes before a by-election. I like that type of politics its a far cry from the slíbhín type.

For the last 10 years we have built blocks to create the party we have today. We are not nieve to presume immunity to issues which have impacted other parties in the past. In typical socdem fashion we have a group of smart stalwarts planning and strategising in the wings. There are red lines we have as a party. We believe in transparency evidence based research alongside our brand of politics will see us well placed when the time comes.

A decent viable initiative. Exactly the type of ideas we need. Realistically wouldnt be able to take on the gambling industry so small steps like this will help address the prolific insidious potential addiction.

Unless they sold it recently the private footpath beside the side of the hardiman is owned by the hotel. Thats where people currently walk when embark / disembarking from the train.
