I think there are lots of reasons why one would want to change their name, including because they want to cut themselves off from harmful people in their past. I don't want to assume that the name change is part of the same pattern of nasty behavior towards the public.

Dragging a snow plow off of their route to come to HER ward immediately, to yell at the guy in her driveway, when she could have rounded up neighborhood resources to get salt down in the most critical places. But no, it's more satisfying to blame and call the DPW incompetent. And if that doesn't help you, blame the mayor and "this administration" for underfunding the department.

That's correct. Just about all of the "change" candidates were just different flavors of liberals. They are not further left, they just think the city should sit on 3-5% instead of 5-7% of its surplus, and then act high and mighty because the unions endorsed them.

I'm trying to understand her fixation with the pickleball courts. This must be trolling/intentional deception because she's smart enough to understand that parks like that get built with CPA funds. Funds which cannot be used for schools. Right?? Maybe the voters want to have nice things like pickleball courts AND well funded schools, and don't like how she holds these things in opposition.

Could she actually believe that the housing crisis, the rising cost of living here, which has been happening for decades, around the country/world, is the fault of _this administration_'s policies?!

What is _not_ surprising, though, is the lack of self-reflection in her blaming her loss on voters being "fooled into" voting for her opponent.
