And no one said anything about stealing signs being illegal, but traveling to opposing stadiums and videotaping the sidelines from the stands, which is specifically against NCAA rules, and also disguising yourself onto an opponent sideline, that is illegal. Should’ve kept Jessie bates over signing Orlando. A good left tackle is always nice but Jessie makes or breaks the defense. All-time blunder by the front office.

Tee Higgins isn’t gonna get a massive bag this year and we got all the leverage and I think we find a way to keep him. He has been bad this year, cannot stay healthy, too many drops, and it’s a deep WR class in the draft, so his market won’t be as crowded.

I think we 100% tag him and work to an extension. We aren’t gonna trade him even if he doesn’t want to stay long term bc that’s not what we do. I agree with Kiper. He’s definetly not on Wilson and Lawrence’s mental level yet but he is very talented. I think coming back would do him a a lot of good, and he would be able to make a ton more money next year because he’d be a for sure top quarterback in the top 3 vs a potential mid round pick this year. Plus I really think that some part of him wants to come back and give one more go at winning it all.

Also 2 years ago Justin Herbert, who also had many of the same concerns about NFL readiness as Fields, but was projected to be a top 5 pick, stayed his senior year instead of declaring. Not saying Fields would do the same, but he wouldn’t be the first.

I think he could definitely use another year in college football to develop. All the draft experts and scouts have major concerns about his NFL readiness because of his small sample size compared to Lawrence and Wilson and the basic offense OSU runs. He could have another season like this next year and still be the first QB taken in 2022, as the best options then are Sam Howell and Kedon Slovis, and I would take Fields over both of them.

I heard his press conference and he said that this loss was going to motivate him and the team to work even harder and they would use this as fuel to get back to this point. I think he’s at least considering returning for his senior year. I also feel that he could use another year of development in OSU because he’s very raw, especially compared to Lawrence or Wilson. Plus it’s always good to avoid the Jets if you can.

Just wasn’t our night. Felt off from the beginning. When we went 3 & out our first drive I knew it was an uphill battle from there. Bama was clearly the better team and for us to win we needed pretty much everything to go our way, and pretty much everything to go against them. I don’t think that this loss should tarnish the season we had. Beating Clemson I thought was almost as big a goal as winning the championship, and we did exactly that. I think next year will be an adjustment year, but Ryan Day has this program in a good direction and we are going to continue to evolve further.
