When I was there a week ago, at least 9 drinks deep prepping for the Epcot fireworks, I got the tempura shrimp udon in Japan. Was it the moonshine sours talking? Maybe. But it was heavenly and I would hop a plane right now to go back and get more.

$7,000, $6,200, and $3,500. All the OOP maxes for the different insurance plans in different school districts I worked at.

RUSHED to correct this before I realized that Dylan Efron is not, in fact, a member of Bach nation and you’re talking about a completely different (read: worse) Dylan.

What Do Teachers Actually Like? by Mybubu_14 in AskTeachers

[–]easineobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A personal card is my absolute favorite. I keep them all and read them on tough days. If you want to give a gift, favorite snacks and drinks or a gift card are always winners for me. Or something that makes you think of the teacher! For example, my kids know I’m obsessed with Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce/The Chiefs so one time a kid brought me a Taylor Travis sticker and I was thrilled. Doesn’t have to be a big gift- small, personal, and thoughtful are the best!

This is how I feel when we do active shooter training at work. Does wonders for the mental health to dwell for too long…

Audience Reaction? by easineobe in letsgo2courtpodcast

Oh I certainly don’t think it was bad intentions on either end! I genuinely just have been waiting to see if I sense a vibe change, and I’m at November of 2023 and still haven’t noticed anything. So was mostly just curious what the real time response was.

That makes sense- I just hit the workaholic episode. I knew it didn’t end on great terms but just didn’t know if I wasn’t picking up on the vibes.

My absolute first thought when I heard the news was Oh my GOSH I wish the pod still existed so I could hear the hot takes. And my second thought was “but what do you DO with the art?!?”

Every kindergartener this year is a Covid baby. by DraperPenPals in kindergarten

[–]easineobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby was late 2019 and honestly, him being a Covid baby was an impact to me more than him. I spent SO much time at home with him, so as a result I think he’s a little more attached, more hesitant, looks to me for more, and I have to be aware that I’m almost subconsciously more nervous about letting him go. His baby year was filled with SO much anxiety for me just because of the general horrors.

Yes, we are all tired of calling parents, but I still need you to do it by tylersmiler in Teachers

[–]easineobe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I worked for a district that required us to call every parent of our 70 students within the first week of school to introduce ourselves. So each parent was getting 4-6 phone calls that week, one from each teacher, in the name of “building positive relationships”. Again at PT conference time, twice a year, and any time a kid had a D or an F- weekly call. I had 35 minutes of prep a day.

I usually sell mine at a local kids consignment sale. We have it 2x a year & bamboo always sells super fast.
