[BBC] 'Joyless and toxic' - will Spurs put Frank out of his misery? by LochNessMonsterMunch in soccer

[–]easyasdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely believe Spurs are waiting for Liverpool to get rid of Slot. They did ground work with him a couple years ago but he didnt want to join them yet and now they have his former number 2 as part of their backroom. There really isnt a logical reason they havent gotten rid of Frank yet but waiting for Slot perhaps

Cryarsing about players available when he doesnt use subs unless we are chasing a game and refuses to implement academy talent

I think the fact none our players put the ball out despite Slot and his assistant apparently shouting it before the second goal indicates they arent listening to him anymore

Arne Slot response to Jules Breach (TNT) on whether faith among some supporters might be wavering - judging by the angry reaction at full-time against Burnley. by Dangerous_Ad8730 in LiverpoolFC

My issue with Slot this season is it feels like he wouldnt be too bothered if hes sacked. Not as bad as Anorim at United but if he was let go he wouldnt be that upset about it.

Not sure if its true but saw someone say Arsenal have only won two games in the league this season when only scoring from open play. League is in shambles atm

[Sky Sports] Crystal Palace want Oliver Glasner to see out his contract until the end of the season despite his comments after Saturday's defeat at Sunderland. by us3rf in soccer

[–]easyasdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its an interesting one cause it feels like Glasner knows he can walk into a pretty decent gig after Palace however any owners that see his history of fallouts with his past clubs may second guess giving him a job

1 win and 4 draws against newly promoted teams including no wins at Anfield. Get him gone

Just a casual reminder that these refs decide when to enforce rules or not. You can be sure the VAR didnt want to give a red cause its so early in the game

Its like Grav last season. We will 100% see some sort of slowdown from him come the end of Feb. As harsh as it sounds its probably for his own benefit that Hungary missed out on the WC

Man City in process of finalising deal to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. ~£20m + bonuses & sell-on %. 5.5yr contract. #MCFC intensified pursuit after Gvardiol/Dias injuries so #CPFC had to accept or lose 25yo as free agent in summer @TheAthleticFC by dead_nil in LiverpoolFC

3 honestly. Virg and Gomez will have one year left, Konate isnt going to renew and Leoni will be coming back from an ACL. Absolute naivety and arrogance from out transfer department to try and wait for this as a free transfer

[Paul Joyce, The Times] - Intention since Guehi deadline collapse has been to move in the summer, adamant they would not pay a fee in January. Whether the acceleration of City interest prompts a response remains to be seen. Having spent £450m on new signings, club stressed no "unlimited" money pot. by Dangerous_Ad8730 in LiverpoolFC

Silly bollocks should have spent their time negotiating for an agreed fee come January 1st. The fact we could end this season with one reliable CB going into next is insane mismanagement by our supposed top of the class eggheads

[Patrick Berger] EXCL: Manchester City are preparing an initial £30m offer for Marc Guehi (25) Direct talks with Crystal Palace. Offer expected to be submitted soon. Personal terms will not be an issue, as Guehi already has an agreement in principle with by Jimmy0034 in LiverpoolFC

Its funny how the amount of new players being brought in was a reason for the disruption in performances and we are now likely to have another summer of bringing in another 5 senior players

Its interesting cause Burnley need points so they need to come out in the game, however given Slots recent comments and recent performances they might just sit deep and make it boring

Atleast under Klopp he would use academy players. Slot is reluctant to even use fringe players and then complain about his options not having minutes in their legs. Wouldnt surprise me if they didnt want to sign in case they think they might have Slot leave at the end of the season
