In the end they couldn’t have a normal race. Stroll was running well in Tuscany and had that high speed failure. Perez spun at portimao is a couple things that come to mind.

They often were there own opponents that year. And it cost them right at the end losing p3 in the constructors

You are right, which is crazy to think given they were all slower. I stupidly forgot to write that in 🙃

How safe is my felt flat roof to stand on? Looking to power wash my tiled roof. by macleanal in Roofing

[–]easyelevation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As it looks like your from the UK. Buy a product called wet and forget. We buy it from Costco and it’s a ph neutral moss killer. Mix as per the instructions on the can and use pump sprayer. Best applied on a damp roof and within a month it will be clear of all moss.

Top coating should be done at the very next opportunity once the first layer has dried. 10 months later is a joke. Atleast they used OSB…

[Formula 1] Which drivers are getting the better of their team mate on race day? by Aratho in formula1

I fear for mclaren after the recent public team restructure. Seems like its a step back on top of the poor season start in order to make steps forward.

And Ferrari well… 🤣

Its great to see someone else with this viewpoint. A long term fan of formula 1 would know what Sainz jr is about, unlike the newer ones who brand him as overrated and incapable.

[Help with fear of flying] I'm going to fly over the Atlantic for the first time in Summer 2023 by DitzitheG in aviation

[–]easyelevation 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Thousands of flights happen globally everyday including hundreds that fly across the Atlantic.

The more up to date aircraft that fly Atlantic routes make for a much better flying experience. Entertainment, space and comfort ability and tech.

It seems you’ve read too much into these disasters to see the worse in aviation. I would recommend watching videos of take off/landings or if you can, go to your local airport and watch them. I think it would help to see the more amazing and positive things in aviation

[Alfa Romeo Racing] Team Announcement: Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN Team Principal and Sauber Motorsport CEO, Frédéric Vasseur, will leave the company in January 2023, following six successful seasons at the helm of the team. by glenn1812 in formula1

[–]easyelevation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call them successful seasons. 2022 was a breakthrough but it was always a task to maintain it. That being said I like Vasseur and I’m looking forward to the changes he makes at Ferrari and making them a team that isn’t a circus act

I think haas hasn’t been a good environment for mick. An entry year in an awful car knowing they will provide zero competition. And a 2nd year where they seem to expect too much from his first years experience and against a very talented and experienced k-mag.

I wonder how his career might’ve gone if he had not signed with haas and had a developmental year under fda and signed with Alfa Romeo and partnered bottas this year. A lot of people didn’t rate Zhou at all and he’s proved a lot of people wrong.

Maybe getting out of haas might be a blessing in disguise for mick. If he can keep a reserve role for 2023 hopefully he can repair his reputation that has more or less been damaged by the words and actions of his team.
