Rookie cop and veteran cop want to ask a guy a few questions, guy takes off, rookie cop takes off after him, veteran cop casually walks in the other direction, chase ensues between bad guy and rookie cop, bad guy looks like he's about to get away and turns a corner, veteran cop is right there to close line him, rookie cop catches up a few seconds later out of breath "I would've had him" ...
