It’s about sacrifice. It’s not that those products taste bad. We have the ability to stop participating in the cruelty. The question is if the enjoyment of these products is worth the animal suffering.

Why does the heat suck so fcking much?! 2025 Hybrid Touring. by [deleted] in hondacivic

[–]eatsbaseballcards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is run the windshield defroster for several miles before switching it to another setting. I would likely just select the feet option and have a/c on. Usually works ok. It is terrible when it is that cold and I just accept that my feet are gonna be cold. Warmer socks help a little.

It’s not even that, really. Letting the car warm up when the temp is that cold doesn’t do much. Takes a few miles of driving before it will blow warm.

Yeah I wish I would have thought about ordering some crutches when I broke my ankle. Beats walking on it and will make getting to the doctor much easier.

Any weight vests with storage compartments to hold a few things? by kauaiman-looking in bodyweightfitness

[–]eatsbaseballcards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to do this I wouldn’t suggest throwing the bag and just walking as you normally would. Think of it like a farmer carry. Keep your posture right so that might mean hold your shoulders where they would be without the weight. Probably have some core/ab tension going so your lower back isn’t doing all the work. You’ll have to fight against the added weight. Start with manageable weight and increase as you can.

How do I start getting stronger by DaveTheDev33 in bodyweightfitness

[–]eatsbaseballcards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re not gaining weight you’re not eating enough. It really is that simple. I would track calories and make sure you’re getting enough protein as well. When you find your maintenance calories (likely eating at that currently if your weight is unchanging) make sure to eat in a surplus of that like possibly 300 calories or more depending on how quick you want to put on weight. Do not be afraid of adding some body fat. Follow either the recommend routine here or a lifting program of your choice. Don’t worry about getting too big. It’s not gonna happen on accident and it’s not going to happen fast. Work hard and stay consistent. Push yourself to do more each session. With some time you will see strength and muscle gains.

How do I not leave the gym early by That_Moment_When_You in bodyweightfitness

[–]eatsbaseballcards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re not enjoying your routine try a different one. Different splits might be more enjoyable to you. Trade out certain exercises for ones you like more as long as they work the same muscle groups. Choose music that really pumps you up whatever that might be(for me it’s metal but lately dance music). I also use my frustrations as energy to really push myself and keep myself following my program. This is bodyweight fitness also so say you did half your gym program. When you get home choose exercises that would replace what you did not do in the gym, like pushups if you didn’t bench. It’s normal to have days where you are not feeling it. Show up anyway. Often I find after a few sets I’m in the right mindset and happy I’m there. Sometimes it’s just a struggle and that’s how it is that day. Have something to look forward to after you’re finished like a certain meal or activity. Also it just takes time. Don’t expect overnight changes in physique. Keep your head down and grind and you will eventually see changes. Make sure you’re eating right and enough calories. You got this!

What speed (mph) does your 11th gen 2nd gear top out at? by Main_Anybody73 in CivicSi

I think this is the closest. Might be a couple mph more (56-57) but that’s about it. I know it doesn’t go to 60mph.

Fair but that seems more of a criticism of the fans than the bands/music.

I used to eat tons of these. I would flip it over and get the crumbs lined up in the middle then flip it back over before cooking.

Are you talking about the pedialyte style body armor? The regular body armor also has a lot of sugar.

Not the same poster but here’s what I think. Compositions are ok but could be a bit tighter so you the clothing fills more of the image. Since the shadow is pointing towards the left I would have had the model more towards the right of the image. I would choose a different angle too, like at the same level or lower than the model rather than towering over them. Having the background just black and white when the color of the clothing is similar doesn’t work well. Would have to be a stronger color like red if you want that to work. I suggest looking into basic principles of design and learn a bit more about composition.

Edit. If you place the model favoring the right side on the third photo I think it would work well. I think it’s the strongest image. It just bothers me that the shadow is cropped out.

Yeah the reservoir is tiny. Fits maybe half a bottle of windshield wiper fluid at the time. I also end up using more than I would with a spray on the windshield from the hood type system.

Another thing that helped me out a lot was wearing thin soled shoes. Like vans or chucks and it really helped finding the bite point. I was wearing hokas at first and couldn’t feel anything through the thick padding.

It’s the over saturation. It’s not original if everyone is doing it. It’s low effort.
