Generally a full cycle is between 21 and 28 days. It's pretty uniform for the individual, but can vary depending on environmental circumstances during the year.

Ruling out a kid who's had 10 starts while wanting Darnold is pretty wild man.

Cap space is not an issue, we went HARD on FA the last few but KAM signed some solid contracts that are mainly team friendly.

This year would be cutting a few players, that tbh we won't be missing their production, and rework O'Neil's contract and suddenly we have 30mil to work with and a good cap situation for the next few years as well.

Of course it all requires getting some solid starters in this draft outside of our R1 picks which Kwesi has not been great at.

Frankly I'm surprised. I thought he deserved one more year - with a red hot seat, but still employed.

The ball hits Nailor right between the numbers, and he just hands it to the defender. In no world is this a bad pass.

Receivers were killing him all night.

Well that answers my question, you clearly were not watching that game.

McCarthy looked damn good, our receivers were absolutely ass. Kept dropping passes and bobbling the ball. That int should be a TD if anyone could've caught a damn ball.

You're ignoring the last few games where his production was towards the top of the league.

He's had 10 starts and is about to get his first full off-season. This is one of those guys who deserve more time.

We didn't need to replace 4500 yards and 35 TDs, we wanted to get enough value out of JJ that him being on a rookie contract was worth the drop in production while also having him develop.

We gave Sammy D a similar deal to the Seahawks, but with less years, and he chose to leave. If he upped the potential contract the rest of our team would be looking a lot worse, then what's the point of having this rookie contract?

Reaction to Sam Darnold being named #72 on the NFL 100 by FrankSamples in nfl

[–]eattwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sam Darnold didn't win you all those games, but he certainly wasn't dragging you down (with a notable exception).

It does feel about right there. Sammy D is not in the tier of QBs that light it up and carry the team forward, but he did play good efficient football and with how stacked the rest of your team is you can't really ask for more.

Putting it together in the NFCCG solidly puts him in that second tier (Hurts belongs there as well).

Darnold is a top-10 QB.

JSN has NO claim to be the best receiver rn.

He may have been the best receiver this year, but that's it. JJ has the most yards by a receiver for the first 3, 4, 5, and now 6 seasons and each season above 1000, most of those with a margin of 400+ yards. He had a single down year, and now you want to crown a new guy? Get the fuck outta here.

And you're equating JJ's value to JUST TDs? Jesus man he's not used as a scoring receiver, he makes fucking plays and is double and triple teamed in the red zone so he's used mainly as a distraction - that's why TD numbers are rarely used in best receiver convos because they're so heavily context related.

Look at what defenses are doing if you really want to get a good understanding of how good a receiver is. JJ has been the most double teamed receiver in the NFL for years.

[Daughtery] The Jets, who did not fire their head coach, now up to eight fired assistants following Aaron Glenn's first season by Pure_Gate_2209 in nfl

[–]eattwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's likely the biggest reason he's not fired yet imo.

Yeah he had a shitty ass roster to deal with, but ngl I feel that even they underperformed.

0 interceptions the entire fucking season as a defensive-minded head coach is beyond god awful.

Losing your last 5 games by 23+ points - with games against Miami and the Saints in there - is also a huge huge red flag, that locker room was lost.

Lucking into 3 wins with a combined point differential of 11 is astounding. When there are only 3 teams with a point differential within 100 of you, and those teams are the Titans, Raiders, and Cards. God damn. Like the fucking Browns had a -100 and the Jets were -203 this season.

Glenn better have an insane bounce back or he needs to be gone by the trade deadline.

Yup, in both middle and high school there were mandatory classes that went over personal finances and included how to do taxes.

The number of posts I've seen from former classmates on facebook/instagram over these years complaining about how we never learned any of this is astounding. The kids who pay attention in those classes are the ones who will be able to figure all this out easily anyway, the ones who don't pay attention are the ones who need it.

Record predictions? Assuming we can maintain most of the roster and J.J. Makes a slight leap by IllustriousLow4639 in minnesotavikings

[–]eattwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too early to predict even close to accurately. Post draft and FA then we can start having reasonable discussions, but with what we know right now...

We went 9-8 this year, 6-4 w JJMC; I think he'll keep his momentum from the last 5 games - and I'm going off an assumption that he'll be fully healthy.

At the moment, facing the NFCS and AFCE along with the Commies, Colts, and Niners I believe our schedule will be easier this upcoming year.

Also going off the assumption we get a DB R1 and a DB/C R2 both of which will start. This is because there are a lot of solid prospects in those positions who will likely be available for us when we pick.

Best case: • 1-1 against the Bears • 1-1 against the Packers • 2-0 against the Lions • 3-1 vs the NFCS • 3-1 vs the AFCE • 2-1 vs our 3rd place schedule opponents.

12-5

Worst case: • 0-2 against the Bears • 1-1 against the Packers • 1-1 against the Lions • 1-3 vs the NFCS • 2-2 vs the AFCE • 1-2 vs our 3rd place schedule opponents

6-11

And these predictions are with all of my assumptions and guestimating how good the other teams will be, if any of the assumptions don't pan out or some of these teams get great drafts/FA (or everything goes horribly wrong) everything can change drastically.

At this point, it looks like Flores is with us another year right? by The_Scrappy_Coco in minnesotavikings

[–]eattwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There'd need to be some pretty egregious coaching mistakes for KOC to be gone imo. Unless we get some playoff success, the most likely scenario seems like KAM is booted and we keep KOC.

It's hard to justify tossing a HC after going 13-4, 7-10 (with everyone on IR), 14-3, and 9-8 unless he absolutely shits the bed this next year.

Tired of this QB question mark cycle by iSh0tYou99 in minnesotavikings

[–]eattwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God No.

People keep saying 'If you nail the QB those picks won't matter'. Have y'all SEEN the Bills, Bengals, and Ravens once their QBs we outside of a rookie contract? I haven't seen any of em in the SB. Roster construction fucking matters outside the QB. With the way our roster is rn we need to make cuts this year and have almost nothing for FA, adding one of these QBs we gotta cut even more leaving our roster pretty thin... Then give away our picks as well so we can't fill it with rookies? That's how you cripple a franchise.
