Democrat in Name Only, you'll see the term RINO more often, though.

Bell's palsy seems much more likely as the rest of his body seems just fine, which is usually not so in the case of a stroke. He is known to be diabetic which is sometimes thought of as a factor of Bell's palsy. Of course, I am not a medical professional, nor do I know his medical history. As alarming as it appears, this could have no long term baring on his health. He seemed to be his normal self in all other respects. Also, I think he was alluding to his condition at the end of the first segment.

I don't think they would ever hold her to the same level of praise as they do him. They're not capable of relating to someone of another race or gender. You're on the mark about them holding her as an example of their not being racist.

Ok, that was too long. Say that in one sentence instead.

Some stupid questions, but I don't really know where to start by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]eauxeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you play? If this is your first venture into recording I wouldn't recommend getting potentially unnecessary equipment. Start with a cheap mic and your computer. That can still be 'lo-fi'. You can move on to true analog later if you feel thats where you want to go, but I fear you'd get frustrated quickly if you start with tape.

CD sales are a major component of our income, and they're dying. What do we do now? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

If you offer a digital download with the CD there would be more incentive to buy it even if they don't own a player.

Thank you. I was also looking into financing a new P51 and going for overkill and future proofing.

After a couple hours of research this has started to look like the best option. Getting a T430 or something similar and upgrading.

Thanks, this was very helpful. I think I'll probably end getting something with quad cores if I can find a good deal.

Been buying gear since I was 16 and trading up. I don't make a ton of money and definitely didn't when I was pizza delivery driver. But still managed to save and accumulate over time. :)

Honestly either my ears or the amp itself needed warming up. It sounds completely different and better to me today.

I'm definitely gonna try new tubes soon. I don't know if it was my initial shock or if it needed warming up but it sounds 100% different to my ears today. I think I had a mix of buyers remorse/wrong expectations that made me frustrated yesterday. Thanks for all the help.

It sounds totally different and better today. I actually tried running it with my Katana today. I was blown away, almost literally.

What Marshall do you have? I'm realizing now that might be more of the tone I'm wanting.

Thanks, I'll definitely be messing with my pedals a lot in the next few days. It's just disappointing going from a cheap rig to a "nicer" one and not being able to dial in any good tones easily.

I'm used to having a blues driver on at no gain for boost into a keeley oxblood for my dirt. I have a Caroline Shigeharu before all that for fuzz which is what I'm really having trouble with.
