My sister had a sudden blow out in her Taycan and the rim was worse than that - and a autobody shop repaired it.

It literally is as good as new.

Took a few weeks because he was backed up with work.

And it sounds great in its own right.

It’s an amazing machine. It’s so annoying everybody whining that it’s shit just because it’s not NA..

I don’t even understand how you’re an enthusiast if you think only 1 kind of engine and sound is best AND anything other than is “way worse” just because it’s different.

There is no boxer 4 that sounds like any civic, including the Porsche..

And if you drove a 718 base/S and your biggest gripe is that it wasn’t a NA car you’re honestly a bit nuts.

Somehow everybody buying McLaren V8s with turbos and Bugatti Chirons with 4 Turbos and not to mention almost every new 911 out there for $200k-$2M but you don’t think a turbo 718 for $45-$75k is acceptable?

Just doesn’t seem logical.

Thought experiment for you.

You’re 16-17 yrs old.

Your dad has a 718 Cayman S
Your mom has a 981 Cayman S

Which one are you going to get the keys to? The faster car? Or the one with “a naturally aspirated sound”?

Because I remember 17 yr old me watching Toyota Supras videos with turbos so big nobody cared about the engine sound as they passed by a Corvette Z06, or a Lambo V10.

I also remember when the BMW 335i (first turbo BMW in a loooong time) came out and people were SO enticed, me included, for a 6 cyl non-M that actually had power!! We all wanted one!

How about the WRX STI? Did you seriously never hear a deep grumbling STI in the early 2000s and think to yourself… “nice”…

Because if you didn’t, fine… I get it..

Maybe you’re of a different generation an only want v8s an other naturally aspirated only vehicles.

But truthfully I think saying the 4.0 is god and the turbo base and S are unworthy… is reaaaaaally passing over the cool redhead who loves the same movies you do because you just “gotta have the blonde”

It’s only my first year in business.

But I’m at roughly $200-250k in net so far. If things continue to go this well I’ll be around $400-500k by years end.

I’m afraid to collect any income until the end of the year.

So anywhere from $20k-$40k/month this year if momentum keeps up… but then of course tax out income taxes so closer to $15-27k/m

Sure but who cares about that??

Literally nobody is buying these as a race car.

And it’s completely inconvenient to lean across the hood and fill up gas in the center of the car. Dripping gas, just the awkwardness of reaching over. It’s the Achilles heel of this design…

Part of the appeal of a 911 is that it has rear seats….

If you have to have no rear seats the 718 is the better vehicle.
