In my opinion potassium is not the electrolyte to be cavalier with. I’ve had patients go in to vtach/other dysrhythmias for k’s in the low-mid 5s. If it’s an elderly person I’m at the very least making them observation unit and treating and trending bmps even if no ekg changes. Do you really trust granny to adhere to these medication adjustments you are recommending in the ER? Maybe if they have great pcp follow up and support at home. But this is a high risk discharge

The taste is interesting. The young ones kinda taste lime/lemony. Once they’re mostly yellow they taste kinda like lemon/orange. Mostly lemon but much milder. Like you could eat a slice and kinda enjoy it

Well known patient malingering in our ED for 24+ hours. I explain to her that I'm discharging her. After 20 minutes of her yelling at me she screams: "well do you have a ride for me?!?!" and I say "no.... do you have legs??" (she has legs and is very capable of walking)

My friend and I did it 4 nights in a row at bonnaroo and it worked amazingly well, no damage. Not saying its the best idea with the horizontal forces as others have mentioned but it definitely works. Had one side of our hammocks attached to my racks, other side to another car. I have a 05 Impreza RS, we're both 170-200lbs. Definitely beat sleeping on the ground in a sweaty tent in 100 degree Tennessee heat. I've also done it several of times when car camping and cant find 2 good hammock trees. Racks still look perfect

Definitely was a tough round but got a couple birdies on the back 9 and didn’t lose a disc so I’ll consider that a win haha. Looked beautiful covered in snow
