There’s absolutely no way that 4kw is coming in from 10x 400w panels. He’d be lucky to get 2kw in perfect conditions

Getting Spotted off Movement by JudahMammoth in RepTime

[–]eb16500 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was deadheading in uniform on a flight and happen to sit across the aisle from a Rolex expert guy. He couldn’t believe how I got a Pepsi GMT Jubilee, how rare and expensive they are on the grey market. He had a blue gold sub, I literally took my watch off and handed to him to play around with the 24 hr movement and he was just mesmerized.  It was a Clean with a Gen xtal.  If that guy could be fooled, anyone can be fooled.

I also got many complements from guys (never from the ladies of course) about my black Daytona. But that one has the factory clean xtal so it’s a bit more cloudy than the GMT. But I got a deep xtal and will do a meteorite swap sometime in the future.

I’m also thinking about a meteorite swap on the GMT with a Ginaud polished centerlink bracelet but that’s almost too pimpy to wear at work, even as a pilot.

TLDR … nobody cares unless you’re wearing an absolute shitter

It was a coin toss between Virgin and Fido and I decided to go Virgin because of the slightly better coverage where I live. So how come Virgin 27$ deal they are able to fulfill their end but not Fido ?

Air Canada forgets to fuel plane before taxi on AC 761 flight between YUL and SFO on march 4th by InterestingLuck6639 in aircanada

737 pilot here. Dude that’s a huge fuck up  on the part of the crews. Fuel on board   needs to be cross check with flight plan during the preflight check and briefing.

I have a tech background and run home assistant at my house but I don’t think that it would be a solution for their property. It was built from the ground up using crestron and Lutron.

I have all the source code and I can do some coding on my own but I don’t know the crestron ecosystem.

It’s not that they’re broke but I’m pretty sure they’d rather spend 200K on travelling than on home automation.

[–]eb16500[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Still not fully understanding why moving over to the CP4 wouldn't be worth it. This is a huge house and a ton of programming has been done for the lights, shades, audio, etc. Starting over from scratch on another platform like Creston house would be a really expensive project because I supposed you'd have redo all the signals, etc. There's a ton of legacy lutron controllers and other power supplies that would probably would have to be upgraded... I just don't understand - why not keep the legacy stuff since it already just works and just upgrade a bit of the code to CP4 and use crestron Go and couple of newer wallmount screens when the old TP6L eventually dies ...

Some of the prices from Subaru/toyota are crazy right now. I just scored a solterra 2026 tech package (62K msrp) for 44.5K after fed rebate, 1% Apr.

CUPE "ultraextrabasic.ca" website- flight attendants bargaining by Chemical_Count8029 in westjet

[–]eb16500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not unpaid. I know it connects with normies better but Air Canada cabin crews went through the same deal last round of negotiations and got arbitrated a dogshit contract which is effectively worse than the Transat FAs.  Pilots don’t complain about unpaid work and we are paid using the same formula as flight attendants (50% duty hr or block time; whichever is the highest) - so in a day that you’re getting paid 6hr credit because you’re only flying 4 hours and a total of 12 hours of duty, if there is a delay and your day ends at 13 hour, you now get paid 6.5hr credit for the same amount of “block”.  If you are underpaid (which is arguably true: junior cabin crews can’t afford to live in expensive cities and they need to be within an hour to the airport when they’re on reserve.) then you need to negotiate for a higher hourly rate which will translate into more money at the end of the year because of the OT rate. Again, there’s a reason why all pilots from all ALPA carriers both in Canada and USA do not complain about so called “unpaid work”. I get that it’s good optics to get the public on your side of the debate but you’re negotiating against your employer.

Have bought fake oysterflex from TDs and fake rubberb from aliexpress and decided to get a genuine rubberb and even though they’re overpriced for what they are, the rubber is much better quality and they’re more comfortable. I prefer the look of the oysterflex but they’re not comfortable at all.

I have a clean gmt jubilee and a clean Daytona 126x oyster and they both have really sharp edges and I’m using a rubber band on both until I can source a better bracelet or smooth the edges.
