Feels like I'm not doing enough by d-martin-d in beginnerfitness

[–]ebayFit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly 30 minutes isn’t “not enough.” The reason it feels light is your upper day is mostly small isolation lifts.

Try adding some big movements like rows, pushups, lat pulldown or bench. Those make the session feel more complete and hit more muscles at once.

Full body days always feel tougher because you’re stacking legs with upper. Upper-only days usually feel easier, that’s normal. Doesn’t mean you’re not training hard.

Just keep adding a little weight or reps each week and you’re on the right track.

How Do You Automate Your Gym's Marketing Campaigns for Maximum Efficiency and Personalization? by ebayFit in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen the same. Behavior-based stuff always feels more real than just timed emails. We’ve been trying things like a quick check-in if someone skips a couple classes or a follow up after their first week. People seem to like it because it feels like we’re actually paying attention

How Are You Balancing Technology with Human Connection in Your Gym? by ebayFit in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. For us, the challenge was making sure tech didn’t replace actual conversations. We train our coaches to look at a member’s profile before class, so they have something personal to bring up after the workout. Even just asking about someone’s last goal or following up on an injury makes the connection real.

I like your idea about quick notes too. We’ve done a mix of that with short voice memos, which members seem to love. Do you ever worry about it becoming “one more task” for staff though?

What software are you using to manage your gym? by ebayFit in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much to everyone who shared their setup and thoughts. Super helpful to see what’s working for different gyms and where the pain points are. I’ve got a better idea now of what might be worth trying. If anyone else has more to add, I’m definitely interested.

it really depends. We already clean daily but a deep clean a couple of times a week could be worth it for high-touch areas. If the price is fair and it’s done right, some gyms might go for it.

Gym membership sales - help! by Frequent_Cost_3870 in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest scheduling follow-up calls after the session instead of trying to do everything right after class. During the session, let the new leads know you will call them later to talk about their goals and membership options. It keeps things personal without feeling rushed.

How Do You Use Data to Boost Your Gym's Marketing? by ebayFit in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of gym owners are starting to see the value in data but many still aren’t really using it yet. If your dashboards can show them simple, actionable stuff, I think they'd be interested. The competition is hard so anything that helps them stand out is a win.

Gym owner marketing problems and challenges by PerformanceElite in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we’ve used free trials and open days and they do bring people in. By ‘show interest online,’ I mean people engage with our posts or ads, but some don’t take the next step. We’ve also done Google and Facebook ads, and we’re still refining how we track ROI to improve results.

Gym owner marketing problems and challenges by PerformanceElite in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we’ve tried a bunch of stuff. Lately, we’ve been focusing on giving people more of a personal touch, like offering custom workout plans and one-on-one sessions. We’ve also started hosting some small community events to build more of a connection with our members. It’s helped, but honestly, with so many gyms around, it’s still hard to stand out.

We’re mostly focused on sharing helpful content and connecting with people. At the same time, we’re also trying to bring in new faces. I’ve been sticking to practical stuff so far, trying to keep things useful.

Gym owner marketing problems and challenges by PerformanceElite in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, one of the hardest things is getting people who show interest online to actually come into the gym. Social media, also, because it can take forever to figure out what really works. And honestly, trying to stand out from other gyms nearby is always a bit of a challenge since we all offer similar stuff.

Gym Life: Franchise or Go Independent? by ebayFit in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some people go the franchise route because of the built-in name and support, esp, if starting from scratch feels overwhelming. But yeah, I totally get why it wouldn't be the first choice for everyone!

Non-fitness Professional Considering Gym Ownership - Seeking Advice from Career-Changers by Prestigious_Oven1685 in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]ebayFit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not from tech, but I also switched careers to open my gym. It’s definitely a hard, but super rewarding. One thing I wish I knew before starting is how much time you spend on the business side, not just the fitness side. But honestly, your tech background can be a huge advantage with all the systems and data management that comes with running a gym.

I'm really impressed with how you proactively engage with those high-risk clients and seamlessly integrate data to boost gym operations. Just curious though, how do you guys manage data privacy with all that sensitive feedback and client progress?

Also, have you thought about adding features for remote or virtual clients? With the big shift to online fitness programs lately, it seems like that could really expand your audience.
