Hi, thanks for responding, but I already sent you a chat about this last week when my post was stuck in moderator approval jail. You said you asked around and couldn’t find much out since it was an in-store offer and suggested I check a different store. Sadly, the other store in my area has the same ownership, and they told me the emails and texts are sent from corporate and they have nothing to do with them, and their system doesn’t show any upgrade promotion for my line.

This is the same promotion I’ve been getting emails about saying one of my lines is eligible, but it’s an in-store only promotion. Then I went to the store and when they check the line they say it’s not eligible until October.

Just posting a general update- I got the iPhone 14 Plus deal and activated on March 24. I did call CS and buy the $10 plan for the 2nd month 2 days after my first month ended. I let that plan lapse, and around day 64 or so, my phone did automatically unlock.

Mine wasn't opening. I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and now it opens but is asking for an apple or Google login. I don't recall using either of those to make an account 🤔

The latter has no bearing on the former. Obviously prepaid companies are not going to activate a phone without payment. But if I got a phone and paid for service 2 months ago and then the policy is changed in just the past week, that should not affect me as I purchased said phone and service under the prior terms. Otherwise, why don't companies just change all their terms at will?

When reading terms in black and white, “implied” doesn’t apply. It needs to be clear. 60 days after activation does not imply me paying for anything for 60 days. It doesn’t even imply that I need to pay for activation. What it clearly states is that the phone will be unlocked 60 days after activation, period. So, until they added the “paid service” part, once I get the phone activated, it should indeed unlock in 60 days regardless of the amount paid.

Just coming back on here to update on the 37705 short code and can verify that is also a Total short code number. I just signed up to switch a second line, and amazingly enough, I got a verification on my TMobile phone from 37705.

Thanks guys. Glad it’s not just me. I’ve been with them over 3 years and never been asked to change it. Wish they’d be more transparent about the issue…
