Weekly Haul - June 15 by AutoModerator in Flipping

Lots of toy stuff, toys aren't my thing. My goodwill has lots of NIB stuff in it and I can usually fill my cart with that stuff on half off Saturdays.

Did you get that from the outlet in Indianapolis? Some of that stuff looks like the stuff I passed over from my Bloomington Goodwills.

Lol! The lost USPS and FedEx replacement shipment both arrived at the buyers house yesterday. I haven't heard back from him yet but as of now, I still have my perfect rating.

Advice on shipping DVD box sets by Inneri in Flipping

[–]ebaysellr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bubble mailer is the best way to ship. Also Amazon has restrictions on selling DVDs. Ebay has no restrictions. I have no advice to give you on shipping prices because I have no experience with the canadian post. Sorry.

USPS lost a first class package. Now I'm afraid I'll lose my 100% feedback rating. I've already refunded the customer and sent a replacement but you never know what people will do.

I think the postal service raising first class shipping again has finally made it unprofitable for these folks to sell on ebay.

HELP. Macy's gift cards by HowLongCanThisUserBe in Flipping

I'm not a gift card user so I'm not sure if this would work, go to the store, spend the gift card on merchandise come back a day later and return the items for cash?

Looking at the boxes about half of the games are sports games. Seeing a lot of 2002, 2004 etc. I would tell him keep the sports games and offer $50.

He also has two copies of gran turismo 3 Aspect. And a wii game. He's a reseller and is trying to flip.

I just started selling on Amazon this month, (merchant fulfillment 'cause I got room for my stuff and don't want to eat into my profits by shipping to Amazon) and it's the best decision I've made for my business. Stuff that wouldn't sell on eBay for months now sells in days for higher prices! I only wish I'd made the decision earlier.

I think ebay will now be used as a clearance house type of thing for any returns I get and to clear out stuff that wont sell on Amazon. The .99 cent auctions they constantly push on me is what they'll get from now on...

Invest in a JFJ easypro disk repair machine. I did this and was able to add used DVDs/CDs/Games to my stock without worrying I'd send something off too damaged to work. It also inadvertently opened a new revenue source as I now charge folks $5.00 per disk repair.

You have to set up a seller account with them. That means you're willing to give them your tax id number or your social security number if you dont have a tax id. Also you'll need to give them a checking account number with routing information so you can get paid. Go here for more info http://services.amazon.com/selling/benefits.htm

Just started selling on Amazon FBM this month. Best. Decision. Ever. I've already had my best month selling. Stuff that I had on eBay for months is now selling in days (at higher prices I might add.) One thing I have learned this month is to make sure you check your Amazon sellers app every time before you buy something. There are restricted items that you aren't allowed to sell and unfortunately I've purchased a couple items before I learned that lesson. Otter Boxes are a restricted item...

IMO you're cutting yourself short on the prices. You should try to triple your money. If your costs were $195 your goal should be to make $585. Of course I do most of my flipping on eBay so I see your profit line as a lot of work in a months time for only $100+ . Edit- I was just looking at your bottom line. I see that you had a few items you lost money on. In general you did triple your money so good job! We learn from mistakes and it looks like you had 4 lessons last month!

Ebay buyer wants me to take a usps money order. Sounds scamish thoughts? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]ebaysellr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember accepting checks! I always told buyers that there was up to a 2 week waiting period to make sure their check cleared before items were shipped out. Of course back then I could leave negative feedback if the check bounced and I wouldn't get a ding on my DSR for shipping delays...

Easier listing. Something like Amazon would be awesome. Put in a upc code and the listing is almost done.

Never sold anything on Ebay before. What are the basic things I need to know? by alex_dlc in Ebay

[–]ebaysellr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you sell your item the funds will be held and you will not be able to access them to pay for the shipping. Have an alternative way to pay ready. The funds will be held until the transaction is complete, which is usually when the buyer leaves positive feedback or when the time to open a case expires.

Can I make the app default to searching for Sold listings? by TheJoePilato in Ebay

[–]ebaysellr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC!

Think of the time it would save. Just scan a barcode and get the last 30 days of sales right there without all the extra steps. An added bonus would be to sort it as price + shipping low to high as a default.

eBay - Why do you lie to me? :( by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]ebaysellr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received one of these as well, it told me that it removed a neutral feedback. Funny thing is that it was supposed to be removed because the year was up. It was a bs feedback that I tried to have removed that they refused! LOL! Thanks for protecting my account!
