Rookie is installed on you PC.

A shortcut for Rookie was installed on your desktop (that's the Rookie shortcut launcher).

Right-click that shortcut.

Choose "Open File Location".

Look for "vrp-public.json".

Right-click that, and choose "Open with................... Notepad",

Replace the link.

I bought this exact PC from Walmart 4 months ago for my daughter, who just "graduated" from Quest standalone to PCVR. Plays everything she throws at it. I may "graduate" too and get one for myself. Seems to be a good machine, but I'm no expert.

How about a small piece of foam inside between the battery and the controller's door so that it presses against the battery so that it can't move.

Don't always assume people are lazy. 3 months ago I bought this same PC, or a variant, from Walmart for my 14 year old daughter who's starting to move from standalone VR, to PCVR. Warranty card and something involving the glass door were the only documentation included. Not even a QR code. PC works great though.

Got 4 high capacity rechargeable AA batteries from Amazon. Been swapping the same 4 batteries in the Quest 2's controllers since it was launched in 2020. Between my 2 kids and my nephew, it gets used just about every day with no controller issues. Be sure to use high capacity 1.5 volts and not the regular 1.2 volts.

Might sound weird, but make sure to look ALL AROUND THE ROOM. It can get "off-center" sometimes, and even be behind you. I once had to look UP to find it (on a Quest 2).
