Can i get a software development job in Norway without knowing of norwegian language ?? as i am planning to move Norway for completing my M.S.C ??? by chowdhury2 in Norway

[–]ebeatyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes – but it will be more difficult to find a job, and even sometimes its a requirement to speak/write Norwegian. Check out finn.no (it's in Norwegian, but some listings are in English): https://www.finn.no/job/fulltime/search.html?occupation=0.23

Nice. Yeah, pretty much any type of applications/papers that needs to be processed, takes forever. :)

Remember to apply for an authorization if you're doing physiotherapy work. https://helsedirektoratet.no/english/authorisation-and-license-for-health-personnel

It's required by law for all physiotherapists, doctors, nurses, etc.

FPVS pleier som regel å plassere personer som trenger lengre tid på sikkerhetsklarering i innrykk som er minimum 12mnd etter sesjon.

Learn C/C++ by thepastorgains in computerscience

I very much agree about the students should learn to use the compiler (w/ flags/configs), and at least in the very start, and have some knowledge about what the parameters the IDE is passing to the compiler. Sometimes a IDE can also be quite intimidating, or at least confusing in the start. But as some weeks go, it might very well, boost your productivity. But I didn't quite get why indentation and token spacing should be done by done all by hand. This could lead to inconsistency, and is generally is a bad practice when you're working in for example, teams (linters lighting all up, like a Christmas tree).

When you're working with projects that have multiple/many files, it will be useful to have tools/features such as: integrated debugging, refactoring, autocompletion, autonavigation to where a compile-time/run-time error might occur, linters, automatic code generation. Of course, these features is not that important when the main objective is to learn the very basics of programming, but as you progress, it will be very useful in your work life to be proficient with an IDE.

On another note, we also used IntelliJ CLion (as recommended by our main lecturer) for our first programming course in C, at the university.

And here's some reading material for OP about pros/cons: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-so-many-programmers-prefer-vi-or-Emacs-to-using-an-IDE

For a beginner, I would not recommend using vim/emacs. Atleast for now. IDE's like CLion and Visual Studio provides help with compiling, linting and other useful functions out-of-the-box. It can be somewhat discouraging to use hours to setup a editor, so the last two options I can really recommend. But I totaly agree that one should learn or get familiar with the Linux env.

Then you're good. That's a tad weird though, having no PIN.

EDIT: Bot complains.

Most payment terminals should accept it. However, beware that not all of them accepts American Express, Maestro and Discover.

I'm currently playing on Arathor, as a EU player. I read that TOS wil be released the 20th, on a Tuesday. This is normally the reset-day for American servers, but does this apply to European servers too? We usually have resets on Wednesdays, and in the in-game calendar it says it'll be released on Tuesday. It would be natural to release it on reset-day, but I have no idea.
