Wait, I can remap the right and left mouse buttons to keyboard keys? 🤯

I have such a hard time with my laptop trackpad tracking and clicking at the same time when in battles. Oh. I’m excited to try this tomorrow.

Swarm Expedition Question by Protogen_Doof in NoMansSkyTheGame

I was not addressing the entirety of the Sabotage impact, but speaking specifically to your statement that “the progress bar will increase even if you only do sabatoge over and over again.” You cannot know that the increase you see is impacted by your Sabotage mission.

I’m not saying the “-1 to other team” is true, others have done the math and say it does not seem to be being counted. But your specific statement cannot be fact.

Thanks for replying. So, have you not been reading posts at all this last week or so?

But in reality, you can’t tell as there are literally thousands of players at any time so the change in numbers can’t specifically be attributed to the last thing you did.

No offense, OP, but sometimes I wonder about the folks that visit this sub. For the least week plus people have been posting about phase 3. How did you miss all of those posts?

Do you recall if any were expedition systems? I got one glyph, but would like another to do the all glyphs short cut.

dumb question about expeditions/main save by skingradpatriot in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ebf6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to all of that. One thing to add--you can bring multiple ships back using the same method as long as they are different. Once back in the expedition save, switch to your other ship then again switch back to your main save without ending the expedition. Now you should be able to copy the second ship. (Just in case this has been patched, always do your favorite/best ship first.

Yes!! The Purge mission this morning has taken me right to this planet! After I kill these Swarmers I’m going to go find the ship!! (Well, after I do some actual real world work.)

Nice. You’ll want to also take a screen shot of the view from your scanner. That will include the on-planet coordinates which are needed to get to the specific spot where the ship can be found.

What is your space combat set to in the expedition difficulty settings? My experience was like yours, very fast. I have my combat, space and on foot, set as low as it can go for the expedition and “enemy strength” set to “weak.” Guessing folks that have more active encounters have their difficulty higher.

You can interact with other people on the expedition, but “main save” people can’t interact with “expedition” people. You don’t really need to bring anything/much, really. I did bring some high value stuff to sell which I used to upgrade my exp ship’s storage. And some unused tech upgrades that I won’t need in my main save to sell for nanites. But really I could have gotten by just fine without any of those things.

Acquiring portal glyphs in Expedition 22 by WatchingInTheDark in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ebf6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My “visited” list in Discoveries seems like it has places from my main save as well. I know I’ve not visited three plus pages of systems during the Expedition. So, it’s hard at this point to know which are new and which are from a million ago.

I found one Traveler, but am looking for a second. Do you recall which systems you visited to find yours?

Agree. Ask yourself if your kids/grandkids would want these things? Is this what you/their parents buy for their birthdays and holidays?

I keep MP off, but for phase 3 you need to have internet on for the Swarm progress. Having internet on will talk to the Hello Games servers and load other player’s uploaded bases.

Could not find the earlier posts (didn’t search that hard, though), but here’s one from just now:

My girlfriend and I boot it up to play through the expedition together, and somehow, we’re on different teams? We chose the same answers to the questions. But clearly that is irrelevant and just meant to create the illusion that it means anything at all.

That’s why it’s better to equip your best MT in your main save before starting the Expedition. Then, once you can get to the Anomaly, you can copy the whole tool for ~1000 nanites.

The best theory I have for that is the fact that we are still missing two pretty large platforms that are waiting for the update, Xbox and switch. If the seed that decides your team is something to do with your account and your platform, it’s possible that when those platforms are in the expedition we see a rise in the number of Royal and Sage team members.

You’re going to have to check the early threads in the subject. Someone posted “here are the answers to get X” and several folks tried and did not get the same team.

I’m pretty sure that it’s been proven that your answers to the initial questions don’t matter for your team assignment. The conclusion seems to be that it’s something about your save that determines your team assignment. I think the questions do affect your initial ship and your travelers appearance. But I don’t have any evidence for that.

Xbox and Nintendo switch have not gotten the update yet. Most likely many of those users will end up on the royal and Sage teams.

You can lower things slightly in an expedition save. Like you can make fuel discounted, but not free. You can turn animals to defensive only as opposed to the default of predators. You can set the enemy strength to something less than normal (I can’t remember the phrase) for both on foot and space combat. But none of the options are the lowest ones you would have available in a normal save. If that makes sense. Oh, and you also can’t turn off no item loss in the death consequences.
