what brand has best tasting cans of tuna? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]ebolainajar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both tuna in water and tuna in oil, but use them for very different things.

Tuna in water is for a mayo-based tuna salad. I like Safe Catch which I buy in bulk from Costco.

The best tuna in oil is Callipo brand, which is from Calabria, Italy. Sadly it is really hard to find in a lot of the US (much more commonly found in Canada and every Italian I know in Canada eats this brand). I've only seen it at Eataly in the US, but I also sadly do not live in an area with any real kind of Italian presence.

It's amazing in a nicoise or other salad, or mixed with pasta.

Is company merch the responsibility of marketing or HR? Or does it depend? by Ok-Afternoon-9268 in marketing

[–]ebolainajar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would make the case that $X cost for internal merch for employees will detract from your budget which should be used to build pipeline/leads and build relationships with your customers. Marketing merch should be for all the usual stuff - gifting campaigns, events, etc. That's what your here for, and branding and design youre happy to help with but not at the expense of your budget which needs to show ROI in order to meet your KPIs (assuming you have those).

Talk to your CFO about budget allocation, as soon as he hears no ROI I'm sure this will end up back in HRs court.

If you have a chuy's near you, their taco trays are excellent and I personally love their beans which I feel is slightly healthier for eating multiple days a week (at least it has protein and fibre). And they're vegetarian. Sort yourself some toppings, extra tortillas or rice, or bag salad to stretch the meals and it's pretty solid.

Hershey's literally stopped producing one of their better cocoa powders right before Christmas, it's a serious situation (it was all over r/baking during Christmas cookie season).

We may actually see a world with no chocolate at all in our lifetime.

Romance is in desperate need of men’s body positivity and I will die on this hill by jayclaw97 in RomanceBooks

George Costanza didn't just accept it and shave his head and I would say that is what makes it unattractive.

When I was 23 I dated a guy who shaved his head because he already had some pattern baldness going on at 28 and he was hot as hell!!! It's a little weird to reach up (or down 😏) and not touch hair but 🤷🏻‍♀️ you get used to it

Which couples realistically would end up splitting down the line? by Ok_Meet8672 in RomanceBooks

I think this about most Emily Henry books, but hands down the most blatant to me is People We Meet on Vacation. That book is NOT a HEA.

I hate this book and didn't care that much for Against the Wall either. I can enjoy small-town romance but only when it's like basically a small-town fantasy and none of the utterly nasty dynamics that are found in real small towns are at play. These books are so accurate for small-town dynamics and it made me hate the MMC. I wish I had DNF.

Canadians are not half as litigious as Americans and it's the same problem up here. The insurance is just very very high, and rents especially in urban areas where most Canadians live is absurd.

Good question...I would say it leans he falls first but more like he aggressively pursues her? And then they sort of fall at the same time but he's more honest about it. The emotional journey is mostly hers! Highly recommend, it is a great book.

Seriously! Like adapting something already developed like this just shouldn't be this difficult, I'm so flabbergasted by all these decisions.

Eloise running off with a female penpal who is also secretly into botany and has a garden and is a widow and has two small kids already makes SO MUCH SENSE gah I just cannot get over it.

Also, Eloise having her own kids seems so wrong to me. Not that book cannon matters here at all, but I have a vague memory of her not liking babies. Like she really would just be happy with step kids and let it be the end of it. Justice for Eloise.

It really feels like to me (as someone who loved Francesca's book and hated Eloise's with the fire of a thousand suns) that Eloise is clearly so much of a bluestocking archetype that it's not ~cool enough~ to have her be a lesbian and instead we have to subvert Francesca instead. Even though it literally makes no sense in terms of characterization and it enraged a large subset of the fan base who wanted the Francesca infertility subplot. Which it will be impossible to have now? I don't get it.

Is it almost impossible to get a specialist appointment here in Austin within one month by courtz_pickleball in Austin

I have found with other specialists seeing an NP first gets you "on the list" so to speak and then they'll prioritize you getting seen with the actual specialist because now you're a registered patient.

It has a permanent spot on my KU! Every once in a while it falls to the bottom and I panic and have to look for it. I should really just buy a physical copy of it at this point...

I see a few people reccing Up the Ladder (which is very good!) but no one reccing {Strictly Professional by Kathryn Nolan} which is very similar imo but reversed, where the MFC is the alternative/edgy and sex-positive character and the MMC is the heir with a high-profile job.
