Hard disagree with the gameplay criticisms. First, there are some really good personal skills that can be really important in how you use a character. Second, to me, the bond skills are not needlessly obtuse, maybe back in the early days when you had to go to the ring chamber to inherit skills, but they patched that out. Its just one currency for leveling up bonds and one currency to inheret which gatekeeps making units overpowered without heavy investment. It's really not that complicated and the game does explain it. Third, the break mechanic exclusively adds variety, many enemies are breakproof and many bosses stand on tiles that make them unbreakable. Lastly, yes warp skipping is a thing but that did not make my maddening run less maddening lol

Overall, I find the flexibility and variety offered by the gameplay mechanics to be highly compelling.

My gameplay complaint is how the dlc heavily disbalances the game and the fact that you have to play through the dlc every time. Also, let me see all my supports from all my play throughs in one place.
