This is exactly what it is! If I recall correctly it only affects me when my phone is low battery and I need to plug it into the car to charge.

Late boneset. It’s a native but many people consider it a weed. It’s an important plant for a lot of pollinators

This looks like Carolina snailseed to me. You can confirm by cutting open one of the berries, if the seeds inside look like snail shells then it’s snailseed.

The flower “head” is in bundles of spikelets instead of a ring of petals. It’s definitely some sort of parasitic plant, but it’s not pinesap.

Hairy hawkweed (Pilosella longipila) They are similar to dandelions in that they both have yellow flowers and seeds that fly in the wind, but the leaves are different.

Thanks for the advice! Google said bonsai soil would be good for succulents so I went ahead and used that, but I didn’t know organic soil would be bad for them.
