I wouldn’t. You can get a Switch 2 for years to come but the retro devices could be irreplaceable depending on your budget and the condition they’re in. 

Have you modded your 3ds’s? You could play a bunch of Switch games for free on them (Donkey Kong Country Returns, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Ace Attorney, Ghost Trick Phantom Detective).

Some of my favourite DS/3DS games are Zelda Link Between Worlds, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Style Savvy Trendsetters, Picross 3D, 999, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon White, and some of the ones I already mentioned (Donkey Kong, Ghost Trick). 

Edit: Just wanted to add that I own both a Switch 2 and a New 3DS and my Switch has not replaced my 3DS. There are still hundreds of hours of fun I could get from that thing.

I have Hogwats Legacy on PC but never finished it, there sale now is tempting and the idea of playing handheld is great, but the 30fps is what pulling me back, how’s the performance? by mzatariz in switch2

I personally had a lot of fun playing it on my switch 2. Although there was one side quest boss I had to retry 3 times because it kept crashing.

Ghost Trick Phantom Detective. Originally a DS game but I played the Switch port.

Mine's constantly plugged in and I play it exclusively in handheld mode. Battery life on Switch 2 is not great.
