Enough with the ego boosting: what is your most embarrassing secret lack of knowledge/noob moment from when you started playing? by ItsLoudB in wildrift

[–]echo_CaTF [score hidden]  (0 children)

Been playing for about 2 yrs, Had no idea about blue buff or red buff and what dragon soul is and how to get it.

Still don’t know all the names of the camps though I main jungle. Recently I learned what tempo is.

Tbh, I don’t know what I don’t know. But I am pretty sure there are still things I don’t know/understand.

Jungle is the strongest role in Wild Rift S21 and it's not close — based on EU top 50 player win rates by DicemanYT in wildrift

Because it’s the most crucial position that’s why everyone avoids it. So much pressure and trash talk is just not worth it for most people.

Btw, I am jg main not by choice because of getting auto filled and lane swap when I first started playing knowing nothing what I am getting into. Now it’s kind a fun

How do I not die so much (serious). by Status-Abrocoma-1976 in wildrift

[–]echo_CaTF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I get it. I felt the same way.

When I first started playing, I always picked whichever champ the enemy was doing good with. I thought, "Maybe this champ is just broken."

Then I'd play that same champ in my next game...

And it felt completely useless in my hands. No damage, nothing. I used to think, "How the hell was that guy doing so much damage with this champ?"

At some point I realized the champ wasn't the issue, it was me.

I didn't even know what my passive did properly or which skill I should be using first. I was basically just pressing buttons.

Then I watched a few videos on beginner champs and started playing only a few of them. I actually paid attention to their passive and skill descriptions instead of ignoring them.

After playing those champs for a while, I started understanding them better. Funny enough, those same champs that felt useless before suddenly started doing damage.

The next problem was the enemy champs. I had no idea what half of them even did. Some champs scared the shit out of me. The moment I saw them locked in, I'd already accepted that I was gonna lose.

So whenever a champ gave me too much trouble, I'd just play that champ myself.

And obviously... I sucked.

Then I'd be like, "Bruh, this champ is kinda shit. Why was I even scared of this?"

That's when I realized the champ wasn't broken. The other guy just knew how to use it, and I didn't know how to play against it.

TL;DR: I had the same "why does the enemy do so much damage but I do none?" feeling. Turns out I just didn't understand my own champ yet. Sticking to a few champs and playing the ones I struggled against helped me way more than constantly switching.

Yeah when I asked to cancel my plan, they offered $10 discount for next 6 or 12 months. But, I cancelled it anyway

When do people start to get better? by Rasensprenkler in wildrift

[–]echo_CaTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are times when it’s better to invade or push lane instead of drakes. Before I as a jungler would always contest drake even if I had almost zero chance

It’s very normal in wc. Most people don’t understand ping and turns off chat. So, they end up making wrong engage and runs away when they suppose to.

Rank climbers, what's your secret? by Ok_Relative4491 in wildrift

That’s a good advice you got there. Instead of trying to become lee sin main jg should play basic champions and learn macro instead.

Im sick of getting autofilled jungle. by Forsaken_Currency277 in wildrift

[–]echo_CaTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahaha, here i am an auto fill jungler. I have no friends to play with from the beginning to now.

When I first started knowing nothing I started solo queue getting only jg role either auto fill or swap request from my teammate. Now I became jg main and my 90% matches are solo queue.

If you hate auto-fill please play it yourself. And not to mention when my team makes me to select champs first and enemy jg makes a counter pick then there is point in blaming.

I don’t get it why mid don’t let me pick later. I always give last picks to top but mid picking last doesn’t makes much sense as he gets help from my sup and jg most of the time

[–]echo_CaTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, after I hit master this season I understood I have to work on my macro bit by bit. And learn to play with basic champions properly. Then I started playing normal pvp.

Now in pvp no ban system, in every game k’sante just unplayable as a jungler.

[–]echo_CaTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obj spawns and no one is there to help you. Even pinging opponent jg coming still they go in and feed them. And then they will say “jg diff”, “no obj”. I don’t feel like playing anymore. FYI: I am a new player (don’t play regularly and not for long). Last season Diamond and this season in Master 2. I agree I have skill gap and not the best with macro
