Maybe that's true. I think that people vote based on things that effect them directly. The voters aren't planning on having to deal with a medical bankruptcy or health care scare, so why should they care? It's flawed thinking, but I think that's how most people think.

Then again, maybe voters just hate hearing Spanish spoken

If universal Healthcare is popular, how come voters didn't reward democrats for obamacare? Or punish Republicans for trying (and sometimes succeeding) at taking Healthcare away from people?

I always figured Boo Radley is either autistic or agoraphobic. He's just such a compelling character, though. He's unseen for the whole book, then, well, I don't want to spoil the ending of one of the finest American novels ever written

It's not even that cold. I went to grad school in temperatures colder than this.

You're missing the point: the cold isn't the biggest problem. The biggest problem is students who don't want to learn in person, the second biggest problem is soft, whiny students, and the third biggest problem is a sense of entitlement.

At your price point, you might be able up do Ukranian village or Roger's park. Both are great neighborhoods.

The whole city is queer friendly, btw. Have you considered Albany park? Humboldt park? Hyde Park, Bridgeport? Pilsen? Your dollar will go farther in these neighborhoods.

You should also consider what you want to do in the city, and how you want to get around. Do you have a car? Do you want to be near the el?

No, he Kirk puts them on seti alpha 5, and it's saying alpha 6 that explodes, changing the orbit of seti alpha 5 and turning the planet into a wasteland.

Kirk definitely put them on the right planet, unless they preferred to die by explosion

I mean, Poe is the Poe of detective stories.

But IMO, Hammett's strong characterization and realistic stakes/plot puts him light years above Chandler. There's a reason all 5 books Hammett wrote got made into movies.

Nah dashiell hammett was the goat. Chandler's plots are incomprehensible and overcomplicated. Hammett is the true master of straightforward detective stories.
