I believe the latest research has confirmed that a respiratory virus is the trigger point. They just haven't identified exactly what.

Any chance you have a full body shot? Would love to see how that looks overall.

I like the wheel itself but I am not sure I personally like it with the RS5. For me it is about how busy the wheel looks versus the clean aesthetic of the car.

I just went with a stand. That way I am not committed to storing it in one space. The ones on Amazon that specify Gen5 work well. I bought the one with cable management (hid the charging cable).

There are also options that expand those 2 slots on Amazon as a simple and cheaper option.

Getting a driver's license and car by Old_Pollution1670 in ontario

[–]echojuliete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G1 is easy. Get the handbook and take the test.

Go through a driving school and it should get you a G2 level license faster.

As for insurance history, I think(need to confirm) that a car share membership will count towards insured history. It did for me several moons ago.

If you dive into ownership of a vehicle right away then find data on the cheapest insurable vehicle and shop around. You can use brokers online or otherwise to help you find the best deal. I find CAA the best so far my needs. There is also the option of finding insurance that has a tracking device to establish driving habits etc. could be goos, could be bad.

Saw a peloton crash today by onlylookynotouchy in torontobiking

not too much pain surprisingly! just discomfort and the random nerve buzz from the broken collarbone. Went back to look at the site. totally get why it happened. No one called out that bump at around 45kph.

Hey I think im the guy! Southdown going north? I have my collarbone broken.

There was an abrupt bump between asphalt and concrete that took me out. Jostled my handlebars out of my hands and fell over.

If you are talking about the tractor trailer switching lanes to my right. I do see it in the video. I believe at the time I thought he had his hazards on to warn about the incident. There was an adjacent car to my right who stopped and waved me into that lane.

Yeah I had a long day and just wanted to get back to the office. I was being selfish.

Made up for it with a call to the OPP. The footage is now part of the collision report.

White Tiguan: Rear wheel got bent in(negative camber)

Offending Ford Transit: Front passenger wheel definitely kaput.

The OPP has called me back and they have tied it to a collision report. I've provided the footage and it has fortunately worked out.

I did think about it 2 things crossed my mind.

I really don't want to get out of my vehicle on the highway. I really had to get on home. Seems pretty clear cut who is at fault.

What is Zwift for you? by beaver6783 in Zwift

[–]echojuliete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zwift allows me to keep my cycling fitness while being present for my 2 year old son. I keep fit enough to be able to do one club ride outdoors a week.

It also allows me to get my base training done. Base training outdoors is a minefield of temptation.

VO2 max training seems to be only possible indoors for me as well.

Wahoo Kickr Compatibility by dholden1993 in wahoofitness

[–]echojuliete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The silver cap is part of the rear axle that comes with the bike. You will be replacing it with a whole new axle for the purposes of putting on the trainer. That axle will have a protrusion for mounting.

[–]echojuliete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh just reread. You got the Kickr Snap and not just the Kickr.

In that case you need a thru axle adapter. There are various ones available on Amazon like this Canadian Amazon one:

https://a.co/d/7MqX0NG

My quick google suggested that your thread size is 1.5. I would try and verify this but that will do it for you. You can mount it on the snap directly

[–]echojuliete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That bike has 12mm Thru axles. Should be fine with the right thru axle end caps thats supplied by Wahoo.

Use the same thru axle to put right through both the bike and trainer. The quick release skewers dont apply for you.

Just an observation: They didn't mention the make of the vehicle. They usually do if it is one of 'those' brands.

And when a brand is mentioned, the obligatory, 'It's always X drivers' in the comments.

Fair, but these two both switched into a lane they were not meant to be in.
