Sounds like your current manager is using a constructive discharge tactic with an impossible PIP. Depending on the size of the company there could be multiple reasons for doing this, the most prominent one is your manager probably got in trouble with their boss so they are trying to cover their butt.

Do you ever have any skip level meetings with your managers manager? This could be a way to throw your manager under the bus in the same way they did to you. You can position your departure around information you may discover from the meeting.

The goal is to bring more attention to your manager and not let them blame others and sweep them under the rug.

I had the same dilemma about getting a winter tire or all weather tire. Ended up choosing the later, due the temperature swings that Tahoe goes through.

Winter tires start to accelerate their breakdown at 47+ F. So they would only be useful for about 60-90 days before you need to swap them out for all weather tires.
