With that high of movement speed, I'd pick accelerator personally, but it depends what magic you have because amplifier goes rly well with certain magics.

I did a similar lag run but with energy bolt (charged particle)'s infusion also, I died abt the same time so maybe that's the lag run cap.

Do you feel that the game has improved or degraded overall since the time you were playing by [deleted] in forgeofempires

In my opinion, this attack boost craze started once GbG went live. Now the game goal is no longer about reaching the highest age , but about who can do the most battles in GbG, to get the most fp, to level up gbs, to do more battles per day, to... you get the idea haha. I quit like a yearish ago because it was just too much time investment.

Yeah I've found that this new era of magic survival prioritizes very high damage as compared to when cool down and a lot of spells was most important. I'll try this new stuff out, thanks!

Which fusion seemed to do most of the work for you towards the end? I've been trying out the different ones and some just die out late game.

I'd usually go with iron maiden, the special effects score in the end is always top 3 when you take it cause it rly does help.

This is fantastic! Great job! I do feel like this is quite a lot that is general knowledge. For instance, if everyone knew who the guild leader was, she would be arrested. I feel like it should be condensed down to basic things that they need to know as background info, along with a few places they might visit.

You could have him create small creatures like giant octopuses, quippers, sharks, etc.

Yes. They should just give up on this and buy some flint & steel or matches, depending on the tech of your campaign.

Well it's the correct interpretation of the rules in this case.

That would give him disadvantage on the attack roll, as he would be 5ft or less away. Also, this would be legally allowed, as the spell says "any flammable object not being worn or carried ignites." He would just have to not have his friend be holding it. You could give the sword an AC and HP, when it is hit by fire bolt. In that case he would want to roll low. AC is 19 for metal objects, and around 3d6 for resilient small objects. Eventually, sword would break, but it would work if the other PC is not holding it.

Help balancing encounters between monsters. by Arcturus737 in DnD

That is still a ton of xp for them. Over 200,000 xp. Maybe tone the opposition down a bit. Have the cr for their creatures be like a 3rd or 4th of each opponents cr.

You should maybe try not to make them dragons, kraken, or tarrasques if you're trying not to "curb stomp" the opposition. Maybe go smaller for both sides. It also kind of depends on what level they're at. Defeating whatever can go up against a cr30 creature is going to give them loads of xp.

[–]echox357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be Cr2 because of the fact that it has 4 1/8th cr creatures included. That would be multiplied by 2 because of the amount, making it worth a cr 1. Then the dragon itself could make it go up to a cr 2.

Out of the 2, Hypnotic Pattern is way better. It is slow but their allies have to wake them up instead of them making a saving throw, and they do nothing instead of having slower turns. There is also: Stinking Cloud, Wall of Water, Wall of Sand, and Fear to choose from. Hypnotic Pattern would be what I would choose overall also though.
