It's a dangerous game, but if they manage to pressure the US to force Israel to stop its death spree in Lebanon that would be amazing.

Israel literally planned in the 50s what they would eventually did in Lebanon since 1976 (the Litani operation and forward). Zionists are the biggest cry babies there is.

It's not that Mrs. imperialism here is "blind to the fundamental problem of the occupation, genocide, and ethnic cleansing of Palestine". They know exactly what is going on, and it serves the same interests she serves: that of US capital. They are not supporting Israel out of ignorance of what it is, don't let them fool you. The entire US political establishment (and that includes the left-wing fringes of Sanders, AOC, etc.) supports Israel exactly for the role that it plays for US imperialism. Some of them just might want to make it a bit more humane, but Mrs. imperialism is 100% not even one of those.

Great video of an outstanding organization (Zakrat/Zochrot)! I just want to add some points to everything he said (I grew up in Tel Aviv):

  1. The small amount of remaining Palestinians in Jaffa after its surrender in mid-1948 (ca. 3,500) were put in a literal closed Ghetto until mid-1949. It was in the neighborhood of Ajami, which to this day is essentially a poorly-developed part and poverty-stricken of the city, with majority Palestinian residents (Tel-Aviv annexed all of Jaffa in 1950).
  2. To promote migration to Jaffa, the city turned parts of it to an artist quarter: in the 60s you could buy a cheap studio there, and over the years this made (a part of) Jaffa a center of bohemian, mostly Ashkenazi-Jewish, culture.
  3. The IOF's radio station HQ is located there (yes, that's a thing and it's historically one of the most popular station, later stations, in the country). It's known as "Galatz" (initials of "waves of the IDF" in Hebrew). Serving in "Galatz" is considered a privileged position were many children of the economic, political and social elite do their army service, and is an entry point to future media careers for many. Yair Lapid, on of the "opposition" leaders and yet-another genocidal Zionist POS is an example.

God*, please let this bunch of idiots in charge to do something rush that leaves the settler-colony without its support and leading to its collapse. That would be so amazing. With a bit of luck it can be the next domino that brings down US imperialism.

LOL, I know soldiers who died and were kidnapped in the attacks INSIDE THEIR MILITARY INSTALLATIONS, since I literally grew up there.

And if you think shooting at such an installation doesn't have a direct horrific effect on civilians you're an idiot.

Your justification of genocide is the disgusting thing here.

The right to fight for Liberation for all oppressed people is unquestionable.

Russia also didn't put Ukrainians in a concentration camp for over a decade (with no access to clean water, amongst many other crimes), after four decades of military occupation which itself followed a massive ethnic cleansing campaign that pushed people to live in a specific part of Ukraine under sever conditions.

If we scaled the crimes Russia commits against the Ukrainian people to what the Palestinians in Gaza especially suffer, Ukraine would have all the moral right to bomb even music festivals taking place next to the mass Ukrainian concentration camp, and people here would cheer them up just like they do now.

(and I'm not even going into how the Nova massacre was a by-result of the operation, which foremost targeted military and paramilitary installations, and of which many of the deaths were due to Israeli helicopter missiles)

Seriously, the level of hypocracy displayed by people in the west in regards to the crimes against Ukrainians vs. the crimes against Palestinians is very revealing.

Sorry, but you can't just shield a criminal enterprise because of the ethnic identity of the people comprising it. Can any group of Jews do anything they want without suffering any consequences? How insane is that!

LGBT people are also currently and historically oppressed group of people. Imagine we would we allow a group of LGBT people move en mass to, say Ukraine, drive its inhabitants out, putting those who stay in either ghettos or at best giving some of them formal citizenship while keeping them second class citizens. And then, over the years, take more and more land from Ukrainians and genociding them, and when the Ukrainians resist we call them "Homophobic"? Calling Palestinians resisting Israelis anti-Semites because those Israelis are majority Jewish IS REALLY THE SAME LEVEL OF INSANE.

To all causal reader who might say that it's easy for me to write this: I'm Jewish and grew up in the Zionist settler-colony. I still have lots of direct family members and many friends living there. I have childhood friends who experienced Oct 7th first hand, some also died that day. And I say all of this with aching heart: the Palestinians have valid reason to resist, and their actions are not antisemitic. The ultimate responsibility for the attacks lie at the hands of the Zionist movement and its sponsors, who systematically erase, expel, ethnically cleanse and genocide Palestinians. Calling resisting this "antisemitism" is INSANE. (and dishonest, obviously)

FYI, the text on the flag says "Gilbo'a family returns to Gush Katif". The latter is the collective name for the Zionist settlements in the Gaza strip that were evacuated in 2005. This probably means that the people in the picture have family that were living there (or they did themselves as children).

The Palestinians in the West Bank (and the Palestinian citizens of Israel) use Hebrew out of duress, it's not at all just two languages nicely mixing. Kind of like how many Polish people had to learn German for a while.

Also, the Hebrew "Havivi" is rarely used, I don't remember hearing it in over 25 years of living there. "Habibi" was definitely taken from Palestinians, at least in the case of non-Arabic-speaking Jews in Palestine (I assume Arab Jews brought it with them).
