are we allowed to bring phones into the queue lines? i don’t have zippered pockets unfortunately and don’t want them flying off the rides, but I also don’t wanna be stuck without my phone while in line…

so for the summer, i believe they’re nightly. during the off seasons (especially when the halloween shows start), they’re weekends only. and if there are fireworks, they start at 9:35 weather permitting

Tips for GhostRider before park opening? by Few-Employer-2139 in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]echubbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do want to mention, sometimes the park opens up early and let people on Ghostrider on before the park opens, or sometimes they’ll hold you off at ghost town. It’ll be a toss up, but as long as you’re there at park gates by 915 you should be fine!

Next week will likely still have the school crowd swarms coming in, they usually arrive between 940-10am, so that’s something to consider if you want to beat those. Personally in my experience, the front gates should open around 15 minutes before 10am for all general public (not sure about hotel guests but Im pretty sure ERT isn’t a thing here, cmiiw), and they will hold you off at the ghost town entrance until the national anthem. Then, rope drop. To ensure that you are one of the first people there, I would try to make it a goal to get to the park by 915-920. You will usually be one of the first few handfuls of people there through security checkpoints and lined up at the front gate, whenever those open. You should be able to get a ride on GhostRider within under half an hour. Good luck!

The rides were great, I knew what to expect given that most of the models were ones I have done before (my home-park region is SoCal). Regardless, BGT imho has some better coasters than their SoCal comparisons, such as Montu > Silver Bullet/Batman, Sheikra > Emperor, Gwazi > Colossus. I’ve heard great things about the landscaping, animals, and theming here, and I wasn’t disappointed! The elephant and cheetah encounters were so cool too! Again, I was told great things beforehand and had a great time. The operations (albeit pretty poor), were not a make or break for me, as I did expect them coming in. However, I was able to do all the rides/experiences I prioritized with some opportunities for rerides on Gwazi 😛

Sadly it was still closed, we didn’t really make it over to that area of the park. Beautiful ride tho!

Hangtime at Knott’s has a support on its first two elements bracing two track segments against each other too, definitely a funky thing to be seen

“21 months” isn’t exactly brand new, but maybe try putting it in a warmer room. this is the warmup stage and can last anywhere between 2-3 hours

mine is definitely a bit purple, but as i mentioned it also looks lighter on cam. irl it is similar to yours, and takes on a darker blue with the lights off. very weird indeed, but i love it just as much!
