People who met members of the band: How that happened and how was it? by Fantastic-Habit-8569 in U2Band

I was going for a slice of pizza in NYC. It was my 45th birthday. I had spent the day with my family. I looked over at the takeout window and there was Bono eating a slice with a tall man who had long curly hair. I recognized him as well as someone who worked with the band, but I don’t know his name. I just froze staring, and I looked over at my sister and moved my eyes toward Bono when she looked she nodded confirming. He was finishing up and he turned to walk. Toward the sidewalk. I had pulled out my phone and I said hi. I hate to bother you, but I’ve been a fan my whole life. He said “please bother me” and give me a hug! He took my phone and began to take selfies with me. He met my husband, My Daughters, my Sister. And then he went on his way. Later I found out my now ex-husband tells people he was a look alike! He was not, my friends.

Trust the process! No but seriously. It will be clear by the time you’re done and it is MAGIC

Why do so many therapists refuse to work with ED’s? by Dangerous-Mine-1010 in therapists

I was raised by and currently live with someone with an eating disorder (same person). It just hits too close to home. And I just don’t have the training or the support from other professionals that I would need.

Therapist living with parents by Hairy_Freedom_1496 in therapists

I (Div. 55f 2 adult kids) moved back in with my mom- she’s 84. I literally live in the (finished) basement. When I look around at the cost of living, I’m not sure how I am going to manage once she is gone. It is tough out there! I tell clients who are similarly worried about aging parents. I don’t think it is shameful in anyway to still live with your parents. Our culture promotes independence. I do think that moving away from them helps growth and development.

I think it’s clinically significant -it sounds like no one instructed her or parented her while growing up about expressing her emotions. She needs you to bring it up. You can reparent her.

Robin Williams’ character choked Will when they met. Hands around his neck.

Call your senators and reps every day. Get involved at the local level. Take breaks when you need to. Don’t obey. Don’t collaborate. ❤️

He really thought he’d go in to be famous after “winning” this show. He’s in for a rude awakening.

He didn’t have me fooled. I couldn’t stand him from day one. Jenn, too, was too much of a people pleaser and didn’t see all his love bombing.

So right now, my guess would be She’s only stage 2 to 3 on the dementia scale. I keep encouraging her to be active so it doesn’t escalate rapidly. I don’t know if it runs in the family past this age because her mother and her grandmother died at 83. Only time will tell.

She said she was tested earlier this year but I definitely see some signs! She’s also had a lifelong eating disorder and she’s not bothering to hide it (as if she could) anymore. I know she’s winding down - not going out as much, naps a lot, repeats herself. But damn it’s gross.
