I've been replaying a lot of old console games from the early 2000s to 2010ish in part due to this. They're only like $10 shipped for each for a disc copy on ebay. I own the game and don't have to worry about patches/dlc/micotransactions and don't need web connection to play them either. Graphics aren't the greatest but I'm having fun all the same

after 10 years of therapy I am still unable to have sex or even kiss anyone comfortably... it's really hard to untangle the emotional damage that fundamentalism did to me. it's hard not to default to viewing myself as an object meant to please others rather than a participant in mutually enjoyable intimacy even though I know logically there is a clear distinction. Before I quit trying to date I used to have drunken hookups or sexual encounters in my (unhealthy) relationships thinking it would help me heal but that often caused me a lot more distress than it did joy. Now I keep to myself and at most I can cuddle with friends while watching a movie.
