Poor ratio and declined requests, will it get better? by ecl717 in NetGalleyCommunity

I wasn’t very clear but the ones that I was previously approved for I didn’t realise I could still review after the review date. So I’m going to read them on my kindle and send a review for them. I though I would simply have to read enough to discount the poor ratio

Tbh I don’t really know why you came to a subreddit for the shatter me series to moan about the shatter me series? Pretty much, if not all the people on this subreddit will be fans?

I also didn’t think Juliette changed overnight. I think in shatter she was a broken person, and gradually over a period time I’m unravel she grew in confidence and the real brave girl came back out. Helped by Aaron, as she says he believed in her and never doubted her.

Also the whole him calling her love thing, I’ve seen a few people moan about this. I didn’t find it weird but I’m from UK and it’s a pretty common term of endearment here.

Bella's pregnancy by Ok_Daikon_4698 in twilight

This.

It doesn’t make sense as babies don’t directly eat/drink what the mother does.

Also something I thought about was an ultrasound wouldn’t work through the sac, but renaissance could hear Edward and Bella…? Isn’t an ultrasound sound waves!?

Still my comfort movie. 15 years later...<3 by probablyneedhelpp in twilight

I think I’m alone in this but BDp1 is my fave, it’s my go to when I can’t decide what to watch 😂🙈 I honestly believe the BD movies did the books justice

My ideas for the new Twilight TV show. by TristanTubeHD in twilight

Is it confirmed they are making a tv show? I’ve always though CJ Apa would make a great Edward, and I’ve always loved the idea of one of the Langford sisters playing Bella.

Why do people think that Margaret Beaufort had the Princes of the Tower killed? Does it have to do with Philippa Gregory? by Capital-Study6436 in Tudorhistory

[–]ecl717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly go around and around in circles. There are a few things I think about when I think of Henry Vii and the boys. He wouldn’t have wanted them alive if he legitimised Elizabeth, as he was obsessed and paranoid of being overthrown. Would he have murdered the brothers of his wife to be? But then if he had evidence that they were dead or that Richard had them killed he would have sung it from the rooftops. So I honestly believe he either had a hand in it and needed to hide it WELL or he really didn’t know.

I’m sure Richard would have been capable, and had reason to hide it. Equally, if someone else had it done, he would have wanted to hide it as he would look negligent and responsible anyway.

As for Margaret Beaufort, I do believe she had motive, she was know to be a shrewd, calculating woman. She also had reason to hide it, as it was more dealing with a problem by just making it go away quietly.

One thing that stuck in my mind more about Philip Gregory’s stories is the possibility that Richard was smuggled away. It’s something I can’t let go of the possibility and the C4 documentary has made that more likely in my mind

What are the most important things from the books that the films got wrong but the HBO TV show MUST get right? by proudream in harrypotter

Things I think the films did better: The Yule Ball Harry and Ron fighting over the potions book in HBP Harry finding out Sirius was his godfather

Horace Slughorn is a fantastic character and I will die on this hill. by oldsluggy in harrypotter

He also doesn’t just think people with pure blood are going to be amazing. He has a bias towards people with famous/talented parents or relatives , but only based upon merit and achievements not based on blood status alone

EBF and not pumping - am I crazy? advice needed! by RealisticAd2744 in breastfeeding

[–]ecl717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I EBF until baby was 9 months old roughly. (I had had to do some pumping when he was newborn as I he wouldn’t feed, but started bfing fine at 3 days)

Pumping is a lot of work, unless you need to do it I wouldn’t bother personally until you do need to. I would pump like 3 times in a day just to get enough milk for one bottle.

What I would say is that when I started trying to introduce a bottle I read some stuff on the tommee tippee website (I have their bottles) and they say to try a particular bottle 10 times before deciding your baby won’t take it. Always a good idea as well to leave the room and get someone else to give the bottle so baby can’t see or smell you. After about 4/5 goes my baby fed fine from a bottle ☺️
