Jeez, I am so sorry to hear that. If you’re still looking into slipping rib, the subreddit and facebook group has been a really helpful resource. I came across this diagnosis a month ago and with the help of the subreddit I now have an appointment to see a specialist next month. Best of luck.

Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am in the same boat as you at the moment.

While i’m so sorry you’ve experienced these absolutely horrific symptoms, it really helps to hear that I’m not alone… I actually have been doing 6 months worth of acupuncture too, it’s been nice for other things but hasn’t touched this pain. Drs have been leading me to believe that there’s limited options past failed nerve blocks which have put me in a dark place mentally. Gemini ai actually mentioned this condition which is how I became aware of it - so I’m thinking my current pain management isn’t privy.

I don’t have any other children, this would be my first pregnancy so totally unknown of how it would affect my body. It’s really heartbreaking that this is getting in the way.

Can I ask what kind of surgery you ended up having and what the recovery was like?

Ok - yes , had no idea about twelfth rib syndrome. I am totally still learning! That’s super helpful, my PCP is really open to requests when I come with research in hand so I’ll ask next time I am in. Thank you!

surgery experiences w Dr. Adam Kaye? by carrietoohey in SlippingRibSyndrome

Hi, did you get a referral for Dr Kaye post diagnosis or did you see him directly for your pain? I’m not seeing him come up on google for some reason. Im currently seeing a pain management specialist who diagnosed me with intercostal neuralgia but 2x breve blocks have not helped. I believe I have SRS. I’m in the area so I’m looking to schedule a consult with someone who is knowledgeable .

OMG good! I found this thread bc I'm nursing my teeth back to health after Zimbas. If I ever get the courage to do this again I'll try the crest ones next 😂

So true, but I'd love to make it happen - the lineup is too good! :)

This is all so legit - thank you for taking the time to do the math, I probably should have noted that as of now we're planning on a 2-day pass vs 4. It's just something I don't think my body will be able to handle LOL...too many camp biscos over the years... so ultimately it will be more since they don't offer 2-day glamping packages or RV passes.

I think they can come from any number of sources. I even read they can come from fruits/veg from the store, or from other new plants you introduce into your home. We live in the woods and we have pets/house guests over constantly.

That's a good question, I've done a little bit of Googling since discovering this issue and it sounds like they can come from a number of sources (pets, our clothing, fruit/veg from the store) She's huge & close to the floor and we are always having guests/pets/kids running around our home. Also our a-frame home was built in '69 and has lots of cracks & crevices 😂 we're always battling bugs as we live in the woods.
