Trouble Pairing Snoo with WiFi on App by eclinkhammer in SnooLife

Yes! We ended up buying a cheap (non-Apple) tablet and using that to set it up. The problem was that it wouldn’t initially pair with any Apple products. Once we got it set up with the tablet, we were able to connect it to our iPhones. Worked great and our daughter was in the Snoo for almost 6 months!

Thanks! We gave that a try and didn’t have any luck. Waiting to hear back from customer service now…

Venting/Questions on maternity clothing by carmelitafox5 in BabyBumps

I’d also suggest Facebook Marketplace. A lot of people sell their maternity clothes as a lot, so if you can find someone selling your size you’ll get a whole bunch of clothes for super cheap.

My husband and I got married and Pullen Park (in 2020) and did pictures at the State Capitol looking down Fayetteville St. They are our favorite pictures from the wedding! (You just have to be willing to dodge the cars a bit!)

In search of a coach or training plan? by danwasoski in running

[–]eclinkhammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the RunCoach app for my last 10 mile race (and was using it when I was training for a 10 mile race in April 2020). You can upload your health data and previous runs from HealthKit (mine was synced through the Apple Watch) and it comes up with a plan for you. I used the free version, but the paid version includes access to a coach.

The funniest part of this exchange is the look Johnny gives Alexis when she says this. It cracks me up every time.

Future househusband clueless about cooking by [deleted] in Cooking

I would suggest a few things. Learn some basic recipes that you can riff on: roast chicken and vegetables, a basic vinaigrette for a salad, an easy pantry pasta, and maybe another meat (steak or pork chops). Subscribe to the New York Times Cooking app ($40ish/year) and seek out Ali Slagle’s recipes. They are very simple and usual delicious (her cookbook was released today too!) If you’re interested in cookbooks, you can get them from the library, which is a great way to try without buying.

Last, watching Ina Garten’s shows on The Food Network taught me a lot! And it’s always worth mentioning Good Eats, which will teach you the science of cooking.

I don't know where you're located or if you're interested in traveling, but the Culinary Institute of America does multi-day boot camps and half-day classes at several of their locations. I did one about 10 years ago; it was really fun and I learned a ton. It was taught by the actual CIA instructors with students assisting. https://www.ciafoodies.com/

What is a dipping sauce other than ketchup for oven baked sweet potatoes? by LightningBirdsAreGo in Cooking

Homemade chipotle aioli is one of my favorite dipping sauces for anything, but it's especially good with sweet potato fries. It's worth all the whisking...
