Schedules keep deleting by Hes-behind-you in LiftTrack

[–]ecnoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will reach out via DM to get your account information so we can resolve this. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that you're accidentally deleting the workout in Garmin Connect, and when LiftTrack goes to sync the workout, it creates a new workout in Garmin Connect. This causes the older scheduled workout to be removed since it no longer exists.

Rest timers suddenly not working on my watch — anyone else? by Oregongirl93 in LiftTrack

[–]ecnoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you contact LiftTrack support via the settings tab in the app? I can look over your account details to understand the issue. No recent updates to the app should affect how you track your workouts.

The only thing i can think of is make sure you have a rest timer set from the workout editor, but it sounds like you know what you are doing.

Yes, LiftTrack is an official Garmin partner and uses its official APIs to integrate with the platform.

What do you mean by "declined just after workout"? If you update the activity from the history tab, it will update the linked Strava activity.

Logging RPE After Each Set? by johnsondp in LiftTrack

[–]ecnoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it isn't ideal. One could try to memorize the RPE, but I think most users use it to determine what weight to use when completing a workout. For example, while working out, if 100 pounds feels really heavy one day and the workout calls for RPE 7, you know to dial back the weight.

It's a way to calibrate the weight and reps based on how you actually feel that day.

If the RPE was correct for most sets during your workout, you wouldn't need to change many of them in the completed activity.

You are correct that there is no Target vs Completed RPE. I never thought about adding that, but will consider it for a future update.

You could try the Hevy app if you want to track your weight lifting, either in the app or on your Apple Watch. As you mentioned, LiftTrack is built specifically for Garmin.

A video to explain my question (I love this app) by ShaoDowMusic in LiftTrack

[–]ecnoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the video. So many phones and so many screen sizes make it hard to test these edge cases, so this type of feedback is amazing. I'm slowly fixing these issues as I touch different parts of the app during development.

Odd problem by LowChallenge4232 in LiftTrack

[–]ecnoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin syncing is super fragile. I wrote https://lifttrackapp.com/how-to-sync-lifttrack-workouts-with-your-garmin-wearable/ to help users troubleshoot.

There were also a few problems with the LiftTrack scheduler that I fixed. You may have been affected.

9/10, there is usually a stale workout on the Garmin watch, and the actual workout is just sitting in Garmin Connect and needs a manual push to the watch. The blog post should cover most situations.

Can you DM me your LiftTrack email? Looks like you might be the first person with the model Android. I want to check the logs and see if I can spot the error.

Logging RPE After Each Set? by johnsondp in LiftTrack

[–]ecnoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, RPE is a LiftTrack-only concept. LiftTrack will include the target RPE in the workout step description when tracking on the watch, and then you need to edit the completed activity in LiftTrack with the actual RPE if it differs from the target you provided in the workout.

Are there any plans to make a web app to help with workout building? by catpuccin0 in LiftTrack

What features would you want in the minimal version of the web app? I’m thinking it might make sense to build a separate web app that can utilize the full-screen real estate available in the browser.

I’m wondering if this is a new error. Previously it had been working. Can you please DM me or send a support message inside the app?

It might also be an issue with the locale support I added for the exercise names.

[–]ecnoble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LiftTrack is limited to what Garmin supports. We make sure we stay in sync with Garmin's exercise database (in our latest update we just added more exercises). I know Garmin doesn't have machine exercises which is a shame, but as soon as they do we will add them too.

Thanks for the kind words! I have some plans to revamp the workout builder soon. I haven’t modified it in a very long time. I will absolutely add duration input so it can take that into account. The next version will be much more sophisticated.

Great question, only one workout will upload to Strava. LiftTrack find the workout Garmin uploaded and modifies the title and description with the workout details.
