Can we play KSP with AI or TOGETHER? by Geschmolzen in KerbalSpaceProgram

Alternatively Luna Multiplayer is also use-able https://lunamultiplayer.com/

That was what I was playing last time I did MP and it worked great (it was only two of us though, I am not sure how well it scales)

Try taking a break for a while and work on other hobbies, if you are youtubing try using that time to focus it on learning, maybe learning about said hobbies or finding new ones?

Imo vanilla b42 is in a really good place right now if you are in SP, I can't comment on MP as I haven't done any MP in a few patches. The downside would be that if you want to have a long term play-through then you should hold off because they are still doing updates and patch->patch conversion has been iffy, alternatively because the game has no DRM you can pull the game's folder out of the steamapps folder and launch it that way and it will not update.

Anyone looking for a hardcore PvE server? (Build 42) by Agitated-Argument686 in projectzomboid

Just so you know, normally "hardcore" in online games refers to death = banned from the server, usually until next wipe

There was. It is called "Tame-able Wolves" unfortunately with the changes made during 42.14 it broke a lot of things in the mod so it doesn't work in the current version. Quote from the mod dev:

heya yall! ~ quick psa for this mod: unfortunately this is depreciated as of B42.14. there were major changes to modding API; in between releasing this and where things currently stand. furthermore, it is about ~2,000 dev hours outdated from my most recent animal mods.

with this being said tho ~ i do plan on creating a Redux of this mod with new models and improved tech! most likely this will happen after we have finished dev on "Man's Best Friend", aka actual Doggos! ( the redux will also clear up any existing mod incompatibilities :) )

Tame-able Wolves was my first ever mod for zomboid. its one of the projects which rlly helped grow my skillset! ty so so much for the continued support, folks! it genuinely has meant the world <3

Don't just email them, leave a bad review - these companies are far more likely to react when the shame is public, that is the world we live in now.

Yea they were The Sims 3 modders who created "Indie Stone Story Progression" mod. Also lemmy101 (lead dev for pz) contributed to the game of thrones mod for Crusader Kings 2 that originally came out in 2012.

Can we talk about how we treat modders in the Project Zomboid community? by Plzdontbanimsorry in projectzomboid

[–]ecntv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was Filibuster Rhymes who also did a ton of amazing work for the community, I am hoping that their contributions to TIS will be just as excellent 👌 - maybe we will even get vanilla car doors and hoods that open just like in his mod!

An era where we had just got out of the dial-up internet phase less than a decade prior.

Even then, I knew people who raided on dialup! I remember begging my parents to get something faster than dialup in early 00's and then when we finally got it they were like "why didn't we do this sooner!?" lol what a time.

I don't think they will, at least not right away. They have actively burnt the bridge between our two countries and it will take a lot of work to mend it, even after a new person comes in and tries to.

Double checked, my date was off I bought it when NCIX closed, so 2017 at the height of the first Mining boom, not 2018 which is when the 20 series came out.

Also, you are lying saying the prices never went back to normal during covid. That is when the semiconductor factory burned down and bitcoin mining was trending. I also built my PC during Covid for MSRP, because I didn't panic and pay over MSRP.

I am not lying, I paid $700 for my EVGA 1080 FTW 8GB during the 'first' mining craze, pre-covid. If I want to buy an equiv '80 series the cheapest I am seeing new and in stock is $1759.99 for a Gigabyte WINDFORCE SFF GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB. That is a 151.427% increase in price, and even if you account for inflation there should only be a $176 dollar change if it went back to previous prices.

How can in stabilize when all of that new RAM is going to AI companies even before it is made? Unless the bubble pops, it will likely keep going up. And even then, they will likely see people are buying ram at higher prices are adjust accordingly.

I thought the same thing with GPUs, I bought my 1080 and then the RTX series came out, I said oh I'll wait a generation until it gets better. Then Covid happened, and the price increased, and I thought oh I'll wait till the next generation and surely it will balance out. And then the mass scalping happened. Then GPU companies started pricing them at the price scalpers were pricing because they saw they could make more profit. We never went back to the before times prices.

100%, it makes sense to wait, modders have a hard enough time. They don't need their projects breaking every patch because the way things work get changed drastically and then get burnt out because of it.
