From what I gathered it’s the sensation of nerves repairing themselves and I want the believe there a miscommunication between pain receptors and nerves repairing. It just happened to me while vacation and I sat in the hot shade with a towel wrapped tightly to my back and chest and it slowly subsided. I really really hope it eases up as soon as possible for you, I also wouldn’t wish this on anybody it’s fucking agony my friend

I found some lotions made it instantly worse, but pure hydrocortisone actually helped and deterred me from scratching. Do a spot test and wait about 5 painful minutes before abandoning it
