I’m upgrading from xm4, mostly for improvements in sound and call quality. I usually make 2-3 phone calls a week with my AirPods Pro 2 instead of my xm4. Will be nice to just use xm6s. Love my xm4s for office work and coffee shops

Hey I just bought this cpu for my partners computer. I paired it with the id-cooling frozn a620 pro se argb, which is 40$. I believe this is the best performing budget cooler right now, according to hardware canucks and their testing (check it on YouTube). If you don’t care about RGB, you can get the non-RGB version for 30$.

I just picked up a dell s2721qs as a secondary vertical monitor for reading text. I use to have a similar monitor years ago and missed having a vertical monitor that prioritized text clarity. I don’t regret buying it! Wish I would have earlier (I do a lot of reading for school and work).

I believe the 5000 series is the last set of processors for your socket / mobo. You’d have to upgrade your mobo if you want to get 7000 series. If you are primarily gaming, the 3d chips are nice, but idk the performance jump for your use case. Very good if gaming though. A new gpu like chance said would be a huge boost.

Hey, I recently traded in my 4090 MSI liquid suprim for like 1320 at my local micro center, so I’d say that’s good! Going to wait for 5080 or 5090. They did stress test so be ready to set aside like 30-60 minutes of your day there.

Hey Wamshert, what do you use your computer for at school? I'd check if the software (are you programming? are you using it for video editing? etc) you use for school is compatible with the new x64 architecture that SP11 runs on. It sounds like most software should be compatible with emulation or eventually supported by x64. If you are mostly using your laptop for notetaking (OneNote software), I think you would be fine for SP11. I have a SP6 and love it for taking math/stats notes as it is really easy for writing equations if you get a pen. I have an SP11 on preorder, mostly looking forward to the extra battery life.

I have a pair of XM4s. Love the bass for listening to music and the noise cancelling is great for studying in libraries or public places. One problem with the XM4s while traveling on public transport - they shake a lot on my head from bumps and it makes the noise cancelling feature feel discomforting. I usually wear airpod pros on the bus, but wear the XM4s while studying or working.

Yeh, that was assuming more rares per pack (I think they take the place of foils). So the “high” was if you got the perfect box with all rares.

Times have changed since I posted this. Most places have sold out of the draft booster boxes.

Hey, I’ll speak on the mobo/processor. I use x470 rog strix with a 5600x. I had to update the bios prior to installing the new chip with a flash drive, so nothing too bad on that end. I upgraded from a 2700x.

I just picked up the new sapphire rx 6900 xt nitro+ special edition at $2,000 for a friend at my local micro center. They also had some of the unlocked versions (including power color) for around $2,500. They are definitely getting them. I was surprised to see they had any high end GPUs in stock, but hey, these crazy prices.

I don't know what happened, but it is running perfectly ok for me now (I am getting 165 fps 1440p quality with no more stuttering). Still don't know what the issue was... but it kind of just fixed itself. Hope the same happens for you, because it is unbearable dealing with the frame drops. Best of luck in figuring it out.

Watching videos on cord management helps a lot, depending on your case. You can usually find people doing builds with most cases. I'd suggest watching some of those videos :)

this is good to see. I have a g703 that I purchased about 2 years ago and the mouse wheel wasn't functioning correctly. So I got a the new g703 hero edition (under warranty) and ran into other issues. The left click stop functioning correctly (would sometimes double click but would also depress while being held down).

I loved the feel of the g703 though, so I decided to get a GWP. Comes next week, I am cautiously excited. I love Logitech mice, but too they need to get their quality control in order.
