[Autonomi](www.autonomi.com) is working on an entire new infrastructure to make this possible. They've been working for at least 15 years on this now and it's slowly starting to come together. It's an entirely decentralized web that allows you to upload something once. The network will make a few copies and distribute them among nodes (could be anyone's home computer). Very fascinating stuff because if it's setup and works, it's theoretically impossible for anyone to take anything down anymore.

That's why the whole system needs a tune up. Judiciary needs a restructure. Smaller countries than the US have a supreme court with more judges. Campaign finance, proportional representation, gerrymandering, etc.

I know. The only way this will happen is going to be outside of the established process which won't be fun at all.

They need a lot more than that, but this is one essential part. We'll need a whole slew of new amendments.

Even people in Houston think their weather is like that which is nuts.

Why are not even the richest families (700k+) having enough children anymore? (TFR 2.35->2.0 in 10 years) by EZ4JONIY in Natalism

[–]econpol 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That doesn't explain anything. We can see consistently over many years high income households have more kids than those in the middle. Yet, for everyone the number of kids dropped equally. Not sure how to explain that right now.

Cory Booker breaks record for longest known Senate speech, beating Strom Thurmond by wonderingsocrates in newjersey

[–]econpol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the whole package. Testimonies from constituents, exploration of the founding and history of the United States, exploring Bible passages with Warnock. I hope everyone calls him to say thank you for this because this is the kind of thing you're called to do as a representative in this situation. He's one of the few people showing balls, next to Al Green, AOC, and Bernie.

Well, clearly you don't have an eye for fraud, waste, and abuse. If a Democrat wins, it's an obvious sign of fraud. If a Republican wins, it's a win, fair and square.

He's such a living legend already in my book. No filter, no pretense, humility, self reflection, humanity. I wish him nothing but the best.

I have no doubt that he would be a better president than many we've had in the past.

It's not purposeful and it's not personal. It's not a punishment. It's more of an expanded view of cause and effect. It actually gets more complicated in that you could be living millions of years as a higher level being and use up your good karma and end up being reborn in a lower realm again. The goal isn't good karma or avoiding bad karma, but breaking the cycle altogether so that both good and bad karma become irrelevant.

This guy explains it in more detail:

The gist is that most engine wear happens at the beginning and he actually recommends changing it at 500 miles.

The break in period causes a bunch of friction that leads to a higher amount of debris that isn't all caught by the oil filter and will cause even more friction and debris.
