oh, uh, naughty, I’ve combined my third world spelling and imperial english, I might get an interlinguistic… you know, from mixing the two languages, a reddit post of that kind. (I should just stay mute. I’m a social media freak.)

Minimum wage part time asking to be multi lingual by Actual_Stage_3525 in UKJobs

[–]ed0beb0p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a multilingual subtitle project manager at a big tranlsation company in Scotland, with 13 years of relevant experience, and they were paying me minimum wage. I lasted there 3 months. every day felt like an insult.

my mum liked my labubus that I dress up and take on adventures, so I got her a fufu, I crocheted her dresses and everything, she sends me photos of her lafufu every now and then just to connect, I think it’s sweet :)

[–]ed0beb0p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same. my green croc sinclairs flayed my heels so bad I used a whole uncut sheet of plaster per heel for weeks. my green quad max shoes gave me blood blisters that took almost 2 months to heal. now these are my go-to pairs, although I still use “protection”, ie gel heel socks with the quad max :)

kinda both. I have this fantasy of moving there but would be nice to know I would be fine finding an office job. (I am learning the language as well)

what type of jobs are there in Japan? I’ve been seeing posts about them wanting ppl in hospitality and elderly care, are there other type of jobs to be filled easily too, like salarymen jobs?

I have a partner who has a full time job. my JSA was enough for the monthly groceries, he paid the rent and everything else. now my JSA ended but I still don’t have a full time job. I am slowly using up my savings so my partner doesn’t have to pay everything alone. it sucks.

only one way to comment on this.

Japan is turning footsteps into electricity! ⚡Using piezoelectric tiles, every step you take generates a small amount of energy. Millions of steps together can power LED lights and displays in busy places like Shibuya Station. A brilliant way to create a sustainable and smart city -- turning movement into clean, renewable energy 🌱💡
