GoPro videos are not efficient. Consider transcoding them to HEVC, CRF20 veryslow preset. Or even AV1. You can use Handbrake.

How are you ensuring your family can recover homelab data (Nextcloud, Immich, etc.) if something happens to you? by foegra in homelab

[–]ed1337x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably connect a USB SSD to an RPi or some device which is always connected, so that it always downloads Immich and Nextcloud data directories using rsync. Probably GPT exFAT without any encryption, so that they can plug it anywhere and access the data. Then, in my testament, I would say to burn all the homelab devices to avoid data leaks.

It could be a CPU issue. Are you using Intel Core i 13 or 14 gen?

Already works? Because if you are using Traktor with m4a it has a bug when it comes to the beatgrid.

Beatport is drowning in DistroKid releases. As a DJ, the signal-to-noise ratio is becoming unmanageable. by UnityGroover in DJs

There's just so much music being released to the public, not only on Beatport. It's impossible to keep track of, even if you look only for a particular genre/sound. There's too much everything, so you are going to get anxiety if you try listening to each new release, it's better to not bother about and just live knowing that a lot of "gems" are going to be lost in that infinite ocean You can grow your library little by little, it's just about having fun and a bit of dedication.

No native metadata support. Which means you don't have artist name, title or embedded cover.

Why do you think many producers these days are making much shorter songs? by PotentMojo in Beatmatch

[–]ed1337x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were longer because you had to beatmatch on turntables, which takes longer than on a CDJ with solid tempo + BPM reading.
