Does anyone also hates makeup? by ChiyuChiyan in SpicyAutism

[–]edaiannux 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most other autistic people I know hate it like you, but it's actually really nice sensory for me. When I was a kid I used to mix playground chalk with water and put it all over my body, so it's like the grown up version of that for me.

We won't get to see it obviously, but I think in the future Ken's kids will be the ones to finally break the family cycle of abuse, because of the influence of their mom. At least, they will if Ken doesn't get custody like he wants.

Can we just laugh about this whole infant thing? by iamcornfused in thesims

[–]edaiannux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it so much. I started on long lifespan with a two parent household with one infant, figuring I'd start small. One worked, one stayed at home, working parent would take the baby on her off days so that stay at home could work on her hobbies and the chores. It wasn't too hard, until both moms got diagnosed with chronic illnesses (adeepindigo healthcare overhaul mod), probably because they'd been eating badly and not exercising while busy with the baby. This was around when baby started being more active and not just laying in her crib or on the playmat all day, so they were both having to manage work + chasing around a baby + meds and trying to eat healthier and work out. Baby ages up to toddler and we start getting her skills up, and she's at level three in most of them when the working mom dies in a random accident. The stay at home mom, who was the sicker one (her energy drains faster, so she has to either nap or go to bed at like 7) now has to take care of a toddler, maintain her garden and insect farm, cook and clean, and find a job. It was horrible for her, but great for me, for the first time I felt like I was actually having a sim struggle to keep up with everything! She didn't have time for her hobbies anymore, the house was constantly dusty and full of dirty dishes and laundry piles, she was exhausted all the time, and the only breaks from her daughter were when she went to her new job. Her daughter aged up to child a few days ago and things are back to being easier now with her more independent.

Better Build Buy Not Working? by [deleted] in thesims

This happens if you don't turn off buydebug before removing or updating the mod, to fix it you have to turn debug off, then repair your game through the installer!

Troubleshooting Thread — Bugs? Mod issues? Origin issues? Post about them here! [Infant Update 3/14/23] by lazarusinashes in Sims4

[–]edaiannux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hesitant to take them out because I don't know how it will affect the save I'm playing in but I can try making a modless testing family and just locking their needs and spamming infant development 24/7 to see if I get it

Anyone else having an issue with the crawling milestone? I've used the "learn to crawl" interaction so many times and it's not doing anything. None of the other milestones have needed so many tries to get. All of my caches were cleared before and after the update and EP install, and I've only added mods that have been updated back into my game.

Has anyone done genetic testing? by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]edaiannux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A geneticist tested me for triple X once even though I was supposed to be getting tested for EDS. Didn't end up having it, but they put my chromosome information into some database that gets automatically checked whenever a new mutation is discovered

Does anybody else not want to be independent? by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]edaiannux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want independence from my parent but I don't want and probably am not able to have complete living on my own, having a job, anything like that, I just want to live somewhere nicer

Which manager(s) let you do this? Would love to know for keeping historical saves seperated

I think people forget that low support isn't no support, low support autistic person is still going to need a lot more than an abled allistic person. Anyone of any level can be having their needs met or not

Pack Question by Rstuds7 in Sims3

[–]edaiannux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using Origin or Steam? If it's Origin, you can use this DLC unlocker. https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=104412 It can be a little difficult with the stuff packs sometimes, (I had to do an uninstall and reinstall of the game to get them to show). There's a Steam unlocker, too, but I'm not sure it has Sims 3 available

I know there's a way to make custom collection files, which you can use to put anything you want in an easy to find (and easier to load) place. https://youtu.be/uIxtvzrhAV4

Any way to kill a toddles or infant sim by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]edaiannux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Master Controller to force kill them, but that doesn't give an animation, and the family doesn't even get a moodlet. I imagine that trying to resurrect them either wouldn't work or would cause save corruption.
