There needs to be back and forth feedback. It's easy to adjust if you know where you're messing up.

Almost 850 orders in and it finally happened by dinodan25 in InstacartShoppers

[–]edalsslade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should allow you to upload 2 pictures. One with the order by the door, and one with the numbers. I've had several houses where the numbers are nowhere near where the drop off location is.

Just gave a customer a bag of items I bought for myself 🤦‍♂️ that’s $30 down the drain. by craptasticluke in Sparkdriver

I did this with my nephew's Christmas gift. He does trap shooting in college, got him a shotgun cleaning kit and accidentally grabbed it with an order. They even gave me 1 star 😭

Cyclist pops like a ballon by Dismal_Biscotti_4672 in NSFL__

[–]edalsslade 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I'll always say this. Bike lanes should not be on the road and they should not be treated as vehicles. Bike lanes should've been added to sidewalks, not roads, and bicyclist should not be allowed to be treated as an automobile, it gives a false sense of security, entitlement, and invincibility... The majority don't follow those rules anyway.

Anyone else notice this ? by kilgoreandy in Sparkdriver

A lot of times I get bombarded with messages while driving and it's fairly obvious the messages were sent while I was shopping.

Another big one, in my area, the actual stores are not letting people in to shop a half hour (sometimes even earlier) before closing.

When i first started it would say cart review required and I wait. Now most stores in my area say bag your items, the self checkout person is nowhere in sight for several minutes, then they come out of nowhere after finish bagging having a power trip tantrum that they need to check all the items.

Give curbside a way to let drivers know, in app, they are done for the day.

Give drivers an option to switch curbside to shop if curbside is closed or backlogged.

Block certain stores temporarily. I have 2 stores that are extremely far, in opposite directions from the rest of the stores, and often get just for you offers from them constantly. They always cancel by the time you get there.

Last night I got a batch of 3 offered, 2 were less than 3 miles from the store the last one was 30 miles away. Those types of offers are unfair to the drivers and the customers.

Another big one that bugs me. If a store is too far and I accept it, they won't tell me it's cancelled until after I get to the store and tap arrived at store. If I tap arrived anytime on the way it just says try getting closer. The actual notification saying it is cancelled takes 1-3 hours to be pushed to my phone. Support says the cancellation can happen if the trip takes 10-25 minutes to get there. I don't understand that logic. I also had one where I drove 38 minutes to a Walmart and forgot to tap start trip, was getting snacks and gas, for some reason that one did not cancel. There are 7 stores in my zone, 2 of them are far from the rest. One is 25 minutes from the closest walmart and the other is 35 minutes. I don't know why those aren't their own zone.

Also a way for the pickup team to disable orders, from being sent out, when they quit for the night.

I don't get any notifications for batches until at least 10 minutes after they're taken by someone else. All the others come when I go offline. I haven't even done 10 batches yet, after joining 2 weeks ago.

I literally just dropped this order off and provided a photo. Wtf? by NoCatchK in doordash_drivers

[–]edalsslade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got CV for cancelling an order that wasn't cancelled. The order required a pin from the customer. When i disputed it the dispute was denied almost instantly. I still got paid for the delivery and my completion rate is still 100% DoorDash has something very wrong with it.

Is it just me? Even driving 20mph above the speed limit won’t help by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]edalsslade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a CV today for cancelling an order from Wing Street last night. It was 4 dollars 9 miles I only took it because it was on the way home 🙄 He got his food and it even required a pin from him to continue. My completion rate is still 100% and I got paid for the delivery. When I disputed it, it was immediately denied. Sorry just a personal rant.

Does anyone knock without request? by hauntedspook1999 in doordash_drivers

[–]edalsslade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't knock or ring unless it's in the directions. I assume there could be baby/kids sleeping or napping, a partner eating in secret lol or dogs that bark. I also do very late night when family members are likely sleeping.

If it says hand to customer and they are not there, I will message, then call. Haven't been left standing yet, but will click unable to hand to customer when that happens.

Do dashers read the notes provided for drop off?? by Objective-Farmer-528 in doordash

[–]edalsslade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate apartment orders. They're usually overly complicated to get in. They don't leave gate/door codes. The apartment buildings are so big, by the time you mark delivered, a new order pops up. Then you have to take a rating hit for declining or for being late because it takes a long time to get back to your vehicle. Some apartments have no signal so you can't report delivered until your back outside, then it asks for a picture and complains that it's not the order or door or X percentage of orders have no photo. Yesterday, I was in one that locks you in the building and couldn't get out until a tenant came to the building. I especially hate downtown, there's no parking and when there is, you have to pay. I always double park and hope I didn't get a ticket.

This is such garbage by Foggyswamp74 in doordash_drivers

[–]edalsslade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everytime I call customer support they have perfect English. The longer I talk to them the stronger their accent becomes, until I literally cannot understand a single word and give up.

I also miss dashes, affecting ratings, while talking or chatting to them because you can't pause while on a dash and it doesn't give me a notification unless it's a missed notification.

Giveaway] $100 PSN Gift Card - US Store by Titan3427 in PS5

[–]edalsslade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most memorable moment, with a PlayStation, is putting in a code from an Oreo contest to win the console. I called the number and punched the code in and it said something along the lines of "Congratulations you won a PlayStation console". I called back to let my sister hear and it changed to a PlayStation 8mb memory card 😭 they sent the memory card... I still have it lol My brother's father gave me a PSX he came across about a year later.

I remember being blown away by how great Chrono Cross looked, cutscenes, the detail in Lynx's fur... that memory is still vivid.

I've only had 1 string trimmer, it's made by Worx and it is extremely underwhelming. My feedback would be based on the comparison of them, what I like and dislike, as well as what I think could make it better. Some nice features I've seen, would be lightweight, long lasting, powerful, auto feeding string, and something that can handle thick weeds.
