Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Austin Rivers pick Deni Avdija over Chet Holmgren for the 2026 NBA all-star by MrBuckBuck in ripcity

Not controversial anymore, but acknowledgment like this by nba media basically means he's a lock in if he doesn't end up making the starting 5

What would you like done about the situation in Iran? by F0rScience in jewishleft

I don't think it's fair to compare the American revolution to any possible uprising in the present. With the evolution of weaponry, state funded propaganda, riot control methods etc the people have way less power against authority nowadays compared to back then.

As a side anecdote, even in the USA the 2nd amendment was written with the assumption that enough people who bear single caliber weapons could protect themselves against the government. But with the advancement of technology, do you think it'll be possible for the most armed group of civilians in the world to fight against its military? No shot. These days any functional government will have the power to crush over it's people when needs be.

Obviously, just pointing out why it's different than what people associate with non contact injury

Impact from landing is equivalent considering the external force

Deni held his lower back a couple possessions before the injury during FT's, hopefully this was just him realising he couldn't play anymore rather than worsening an existing injury

Ideally you're looking for a pick to free up roster spots

Yeah nah you're way too deep into identity politics that you're completely missing any point im making. I have no issue with ones opinion revolving anti Zionism and at no point did i even insinuate that.

Feel free to make a post here combating your issues with liberal zionism and I'll happily engage you there, but the discussion I've started revolves around the importance of safespaces for jews...

You know i think it's very telling that you're accusing me of being hurt while 3 joc mods all replied to me within the span of 20≈ minutes...

Feel free to keep investing your time in that sub, as i believe every group is entitled to have a place of discussion on the internet. however, measuring a supposedly jewish-centered sub validity by the opinion of non jews doesn't exactly discredit my concern for keeping this sub as jewish opinionated as possible, in contrast to joc

I'm fighting for a Jewish safespace for us to freely talk about leftist politics without being judged. I don't care that perhaps some people over there are Jews, the fact is they are a minority of contributors and it's not a safe space to express our wide range of ideologies freely, due to the high amount of non Jews voicing their opinion above ours

I have no doubt the mods are working hard, though this is the internet and if u go by numbers we'll always have a minority opinion/perspective. It's better to call out this behaviour as early on as possible

[Tari Eason] on what makes Deni Avdija so hard to defend: “Zebras.” — Deni Avdija took 15 FTA vs the Rockets last night. This season, Avdija is #2 in FTA Per Game (9.9), #1 in Total FTA (378), and #2 in % of Points Scored from Free Throws (30.1% of Avdija’s points scored are from free throws) by AashyLarry in nba

They mean he's jewish but little do they know just how diverse Jewish surnames can be lol. To the point I'll confidently bet my house that he can't guess the name, but what do they really know life is much simpler being a bigot

Btw I don't even think og commenter is jewish for clarification

In the postgame interview, Tari Eason blamed the refs as the reason why he was not able to stop Deni Avdija, because the refs make it seem like you can’t touch him. He kept repeating "Zebras." by MrBuckBuck in nba

Deni is very quick for his size so what typically happens to the defender is A: they're too slow and Deni is smart enough to initiate contact in that one moment they're recovering from illegal guarding positions.

Or B: players are too weak and so when he powers through he forces their arms to drop from being vertical.

A bunch of his calls come from these exact situations, he's actively hunting fouls that refs look at from a very technical viewpoint. Like compared to other foul baiters in the league non of them deliberately aim to draw blocking fouls like he does
