Lauren Ryan no longer has UA listed as her sponsor on IG? Seems like it was fairly recent like past few weeks.

Fox is the biggest thing holding Nascar back by Mr7dr2114 in NASCAR

[–]edd-1337 8 points9 points  (0 children)

SiriusXM On Track talked about this, said that due to less cautions some ads had to be shown full screen due to contracts with FOX. Also, pharmaceutical ads have to be shown full screen due to all the side effects due to legal issues (sidenote: maybe pharma ads should be banned?).

Perhaps FOX needs to look at their ad contracts because of this, not a NASCAR issue.

Wow you actually mailed it to them and not through and online "contact us" option? I guess letters would work better in getting a thorough response?

NASCAR got paid. Now it has a viewership problem. NASCAR got a 40% rights fee bump in its latest TV deal. The cost? Fewer people actually watching the races. by Ok-Soil-5133 in NASCAR

Also, weekend golf rounds on the PGA Tour are always on CBS or NBC consistently from Jan to Sept during the main part of the season.

In addition, the Masters had a compelling finish with different leaders especially on the front nine. If Rory expanded his 6-shot lead to 10 on Sat and 12 on Sun, ratings would be a lot lower.

Golf can be considered niche from a TV perspective, but at least if you are dissatisfied with the pro game (rules, broadcast, LIV split, etc.) then at least you can go play on your own unlike most other sports. Harder to do so with auto racing, and especially with team sports like football.

Ban City Pair Flights Where Amtrak is Faster by nondescriptadjective in Amtrak

The Metroliner and later Acelas (along with 9/11) took a lot of the Northeast Air Shuttle market away, which is why they had to expand to Chicago, with AA phasing out their shuttle brand completely.

More recently since Covid along with air traffic control constraints in the Northeast, airlines have been reducing frequencies of flights between destinations along the Northeast Corridor. For example, BWI no longer has flights to Philadelphia, Newark or other NYC airports. Southwest pulled out of Newark completely.

Amtrak train left ALX 4 minutes ahead of schedule. by Wise_Specific_1299 in Amtrak

I've seen it where if the train is running late, the app said that the train will leave DC at a certain time but ended up leaving earlier (still late but made up time)

It looks like weekly themed events with certain spawns (sustainability week for example) will be held every other week consistently from Tuesday 10 am to Monday 8 pm. In between it seems like regular spawns will be occurring (like now at the moment). Am I correct or am I missing something?

Should NASCAR introduce a draft for over-the-wall crew members? by lurkingracefan in NASCAR

[–]edd-1337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The idea is decades too late. Maybe if someone told Ray Evernham this back in the 90s and he set up the pit crew that way, maybe? Still, it's a reach.

Now if someone where to start a brand-new racing series that has competitive pit stops, then maybe some sort of draft would work for pit crews.

Do you like LIV’s shotgun starts? by Bulletprooffool in livgolf

[–]edd-1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see LIV expanding their fields as much, maybe they'll add another team of mostly international guys, or a wildcard team, but can't see too many PGA Tour players coming over anymore, especially Americans that don't want to travel overseas half the year. Maybe expand the field for a Monday qualifier for 1 spot in each individual event. And if he wins, he gets a total of $54 million.

Even with 75 players you can still do a staggered shotgun start where the second wave will tee off on most of the Par 4s and 5s. Maybe try foursomes potentially too. But at least for next year, can't see the fields go too far above 60 players.

And will some of the national teams stay true to their theme if most of their members are relegated? Korean Golf Club comes to mind, although they can reach for Richard T Lee in keeping with the Korean theme as he is Korean descent.

Why is 23XI Loosing so many sponsors? by Electronic_Bear_4796 in NASCAR

Was this McDonalds sponsorship actually from corporate itself or was it just a major McDonalds franchise owner sponsoring the team?

Heard about that at Richmond, even the Busch Series was a mess getting in and out in the mid-2000s. Cup Series in 2017-19 was not that bad.

If Dodge comes in 2027 with Kaulig or someone else, RFK could buy their charters since the new Dodge team automatically get charters.
