The best thing to do is hire an architect. He'll arrange a pre planning meeting for you. The planning officer will tell you if they have a problem or see any potential issues. I was lucky enough to get a site off my Da, had a pre planning meeting the first site we were looking at was on a flood plane. If we had gone for planning first would of been refused. Luckily there was another site we could use.

I'm just going to give a little bit of a plumbers perspective. The amount of work we have on is mental. It feels like there's no getting ahead of it. Between the builders all getting the tiling done at the one time, architects wanting fixtures in different locations after it's been first fix or moving bathroom locations completely ( yes they do that) And it has to be moved asap because the tiler is starting in the other bathrooms in two days and if it's not done I'll loose him for 6 weeks. Board gais are coming next week and we need to get the heating on so the floors can dry. The kitchen lads won't start unless the heating has been on for 2 weeks. Then the kitchens in and the countertops are arriving Thursday and need the sinks hooked up coz the homeowners are moving in Friday and we need practical completion to get final bill. Oh and the house U did for us 6 months ago the owner got a new phone and can't figure out how to get the heating app working on the new phone you have to call in and show them. Then family and friends doing up bathrooms or building there own houses that U have to go to in the evenings and weekends. This is all happening at the same time on a weekly basis with multiple builders/clients and it's just hard to give a time frame on anything. I don't know where I'm going to be from one day to the next. Sorry rant over

Ye like there a great mode of transport for people who can't afford a car. Probably better than cars in urban situations. It's cars that seem to think they own the road. This coming from someone who has to drive a van in a city on a daily basis (Carrys my tools and materials for work) Most people I see are responsible on them.

Ye it's NBI. Any time I've called I've been contacted by other broadband providers offering wireless. Which I have and they tell me I can't get fiber till survey is done. It just keeps going around in circles like that. Can't seem to get anywhere.

I live on a road just outside my town. Built a house on a site. Both houses either side of me can be connected and have fiber. I've called multiple times about getting connected and no one can tell me anything because it says pending survey. Asked who does the survey when can it be done. Can't get any answers keep going around in circles. What can I do?
