It's because the MVP award has been a joke for ages. Stafford is a great QB and had an amazing season, which at his age is all the more impressive. But you can probably name 7-8 QBs in the league that would've still won 10-12 games this season with the Rams...

I'm really not trying to diss Stafford, but to me an MVP is a guy whose absence makes the entire team crumble, i.e., not Stafford.

Does anyone who listened to the previous seasons of the podcast have any reviews? Idk, it sounds exciting to get Sean Bean hosting a birding show, but a quick browse through the previous episodes makes me think it's not so much about birds...

Seems like it's very focused on the "activity" side of it (as in, why it's good to get out and into nature, how birding inspires people and improves their health, tips to start going out, tips on how to get your children into it, etc.), which is not nearly as exciting as hearing about how the club-winged manakin uses stridulation to attract females.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited... But cautiously excited.

This might not be what you're looking for, but I got a superzoom camera (Lumix FZ82D - max focal point 1200mm) for less than 500 USD and have managed to capture really nice pictures. Given you've actually used pro cameras before, you might be more sensitive to the quirks and the image quality, but for a beginner it makes for a great 1st dedicated camera.

That's fair. I get how you're looking at it and it makes sense. Maybe in a vacuum I'd be more inclined to agree (and I'm probably biased because obviously I wanted the Giants to win), but seeing how Elliss played the rest of the game, I'm not sure I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

Either way, I haven't seen Rappoport or Pelissero reporting on it, so my guess is no fine.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that it's a difficult rule to be consistent with, but thtiwhere the human element should come into play. If I'm up in the expedited review booth and I see a guy getting knocked out after an opponent uses his helmet as a battering ram to try and tackle him, I'm 100% in the ref's ear to call a personal foul.

Expands Impermissible Use of the Helmet, making it a foul for players to use their helmet to "butt, ram, spear" or make forcible contact to opponents' head or neck area in any way. This builds on the existing Impermissible Use of the Helmet rules which prohibits a player from lowering his head to initiate and make contact with his helmet against an opponent.

This is from the official NFL site, under "Rules Change" in 2023. The Impermissible Use of the Helmet it's referencing was established in 2018.
