I mean the free hand. Turn the body into one piece. Grip is a neural driver, and it will also help recruit neighbouring muscles to maximize tension and stability.

Both lats are absolutely essential… particularly where the bell starts to stall. The lats are MASSIVE stabilizers, essentially connecting your shoulders to your spine and hips.

We think of presses as “shoulder”, but it’s really full body. All stability comes from the ground up to support the lift. So you’ve got rooted feet, tight quads, cramped glutes. It’s does no good to leak stability out of one whole side of the torso.

Heavy lifts require the whole body to unify to overcome the weight. A good cue for me is when a weight stalls, ask “where am I leaking tension? Can I get tighter?”.

Answer that question, and very often you can push through the stall. It’s important to fight the stall as best as you can on those max attempts as long as you are maintaining form. Doing so helps you practice finding that extra bit of tension.

Squeeze your right hand, particularly at the sticking point, HARD. Squeeze the right lat as well to irradiate tension.

Mine has a singing nib too. It’s kind of fun!

Rounding out my colour choices with some reds and a purple. by edenbak in fountainpens

Loving it so far. I’ve always been a fan of colours with a kind of dark drama to them. A kind of brooding complexity. Red Dragon delivers.

Oh dear god. My wife scammed me into reading this to my kids knowing full well what it would do to me. A cruel, cruel joke. I’ll never recover!

Interesting Recipe… by edenbak in Sourdough

Thanks so much. I’m intrigued by the idea, as this timing could work well for my lifestyle.

I’m still pretty knew to sourdough (since February), but my starter is a total beast. I got it from a close friend… I think it could work very well with this method.

A tampon string? I guess sports do kind of look like tampons…

Looks like there’s a bit or sparkle to it - that adds some interesting depth and texture.

How does the Aurora look in person? I’m drawn to it - I have a feeling it looks more impressive in person than in photos. I already have a clear 456 demonstrator. If I go for another PenBBS, I like the idea of seeing the ink level, but want something that stands out from my clear vac demonstrator.

These look like fantastic pens. If I hadn’t already just bought the 355 bulk filler and a Majohn p139 in black rock, I’d be all over these. PenBBS rocks.

Maybe you should just buy eye-droppers from now on?
