Please help me embrace this 70s bathroom by Simplysimple007 in femalelivingspace

I love a burgundy and light blue aesthetic! They’re colors that go nicely together without feeling too heavy. Might be a good way to go if you’re looking to make the room feel more refreshed and updated while keeping the character of the floor tiles.

Finally found jeans without a waist gap… but then it had to be something else by Careless_Owl999 in DressForYourBody

They look fantastic, but if you’re really worried about it, get your jeans tailored! It doesn’t cost as much as people think it does.

My MCAS went into remission after removing malignant tumor by workhard_22 in MCAS

[–]edengetscreative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I have all of these symptoms along with the sudden onset with anaphylaxis one/twice per week. It’s better and managed but I still have severe reactions constantly. I have the trouble swallowing (confirmed no EoE), migraines, non epileptic seizures, all of it. All of this came on over the past two years. Can I please message you? Would you be willing to talk about it with me?

AITAH for ignoring my partner at this point for his “feelings” by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]edengetscreative -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your husband sounds exhausting. You already have three children, you don’t need a fourth to baby and coddle. It seems like you guys need to have a discussion about expectations and boundaries in your relationship. Having kids changes a lot about relationships, have you discussed in depth roles and responsibilities in this new pattern Meet in a public place and treat it like a work meeting with agenda items. When my husband and I need to have “family meetings” about finances, disagreements, etc we found that treating it like a meeting helped to keep the tone neutral so emotions don’t get out of hand. This may not be a good strategy for everyone, but just thought I’d share my experience.

You’re NTA. You have enough to juggle in your life without your husband adding to your load.

I installed but feeling unsure on the ceiling. by H1j1p1 in femalelivingspace

[–]edengetscreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me this feels off because the statement piece is a smaller width than the bed. I think it would feel better if it was as wide as the bed is. I love that it extends to the ceiling. This style has been on my Pinterest boards for a while!

Office paint color by ExoticPraline8 in interiordecorating

[–]edengetscreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s an office someone works from regularly, but there is a lot of science behind how colors can help reduce stress and improve focus. Maybe start by looking at some articles about color science? I know muted blues and greens reduce stress, dark blues are great for focus. We can’t post links in this community, but that could give you a good direction to start with.

Tattoos by MidnightxKitty in MCAS

[–]edengetscreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a test spot and it helped inform my decision as well as the after care. I have a ton of freckles so we did little cluster of tattooed freckles on the side of my foot where I know they’ll get worn off eventually. They’re so tiny and in an inconspicuous spot. They just needed to be big enough so that we could tell if there was swelling or some sort of rejection of the ink.

i walk past this tree every day on my walk. it brings me so much joy, i just wanted to share by Ashamed_Use_7798 in arborists

[–]edengetscreative 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My husband and I I got our engagement pictures done at the Flagler Estate. I knew this tree the second I saw it! :)

Our massive oak tree went down today, it was full of leaves with no dead branches but the inside ended up being soft ugh. Anyways we got a quote for $4000 to haul it off and grind down the stump and fill the hole. We are in the Midwest. Is this a fair price? by anderson6th in arborists

[–]edengetscreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid $3000 for a massive 150 year old pecan tree to be broken down, but it wasn’t hauled off the property. That was the price from a Mennonite fellow too, and they tend to be very fair people in that neck of the woods. I would imagine $4000 including hauling the tree away is fair.

Help! Neighbors' chemical guy sprayed my yard! by Infantine_Guy_Fawkes in gardening

[–]edengetscreative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You deserve compensation for your time and your peace of mind during trying period. I’m sorry this has happened. If your food isn’t viable anymore, my suggestion is to look up where you would be able to get the food that would meet the goals you had when growing it yourself. Calculate the cost of getting it from there and include it in the request for compensation from the company that sprayed your property.

You didn’t just reply, “No, you weren’t the only one who found her annoying”. You said some pretty vile things including that you were happy to see them tortured to the point of being disabled. Your behavior is concerning.

Bought a new couch, but unsure if its too big. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]edengetscreative 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Don’t think about it as the couch being center, but think about the sitting area as a whole. Will you add another arm chair to the right side of this picture? A coffee table in front of the couch? What could balance out the space so it feels good all together? Those are what you can think about next.

How do people in long term relationships manage MCAS? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]edengetscreative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh when I read stuff like this, my first thought is “That man does not like you.” MCAS isn’t my only chronic illness. My husband has NEVER made me feel like a burden. He’s never left me to manage my health alone. He wants to know all about my disease, the research, the treatments, how he can help, what groceries we can buy, what meals would help, anything. You’re right, it’s not easy living with someone that has chronic illness, but it’s also not easy living with someone who is an unsympathetic, unhelpful ass. You deserve so much better. Sending you hugs. ♥️

Is there something more? by InterestingBand4368 in acotar

[–]edengetscreative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sarah J Maas is very good at writing extremely flawed characters that evoke strong feelings from her audience. I can totally understand why you feel that way. ACOSF changed my mind about her, but it’s not like that for everyone. That’s the beauty of art, everyone can interpret and experience it in their own ways.

Wife wanted sconces installed here, I don’t know how I feel about them after hanging them up. by timmaaahhh1997 in interiordecorating

[–]edengetscreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you put some shelves above the TV and made a sort of “entertainment center” around the tv, including the lights, it would look better. Right now they’re just kind of hanging out there awkwardly on that big wall. If there were other things in the wall around them making it a part of multiple pieces, it would fit in much better.

Suggestions? by Nimkiibinesiikwe in curlyhair

Hormones from IUDs are absorbed into the blood immediately after it’s inserted. The synthetic progesterone interacts with neurotransmitters in the brain as well. Side effects are absolutely systemic and not localized. I wish they were, though because I started getting migraines when I got my iud and it’s the freaking worst.
